Back from California with a new short story for my web site. I have a couple of people to look it over first, then I'll post it on my web site. It's the back story for my up-coming novel.

Traveling in California. In my third hotel in five days. Haven't had success with wifi in any of them. In any case I'm doing my final read on 'Blood Moon:Doomsday' , my latest short story. I love to watch people, and being a people watcher makes developing characters so much more fun. Here's the process.

I see you walking down the street. First I look at what you're wearing, then I look at how you move. Then I look at your face and try to figure out what you're thinking. Accessories, hair, tattoo's...etc are part of the character. Where you are...your car.

I write it all down, then give you a name and bingo. You're a character in my book.

Always been a big Prince fan. I write to music and he's one of my favorite artists. He will be missed.

As far back as I can remember I wrote stories just to entertain myself. I got in big trouble in the fourth grade at Morton avenue school for staring out the window, daydreaming. I was always good at writing assignments in elementary school. Have to admit, I was that kid that liked spelling bees and writing poems. Don't know when but eventually the imagination and the writing merged.

Well it's that time again. Most of us hate politics but in the political news offerings are a ton of story ideas.

I've been doing so much promotional work that I just haven't had time to write. Today I write.

Writing is so easy, but to put out a great book you have to go through the editing process. OMG is that a dreaded task for me...the back and forth. The edits. The re-edits. Some of my edits turned into complete story line changes. I'm lucky that my editor didn't quit on me. I promise to Cathy, Rick, and Susan that I'll do better with 'Blood Moon:Apocalypse Survivor'.

Anybody else not liking the editing process?
