Hello Goodreads!
Hola! So I've finally started up a Goodreads account, which truthfully, I don't know why I hadn't done before. It's been a day and I've already found a heap of new books I want to read that I had never even heard of. It's a utopia!
This blog post is really just a short introduction. I'm Saba Kapur, hello! *waves* If you've already read my bio then you'll know the following information, but what the heck. Read on anyway! I am a 19 year old author currently based in Melbourne, and excitedly awaiting the release of my first YA novel, Lucky Me.
Now this is totally not a shameless plug, I promise, but the book does come out April 5th and I happen to think it's great, if you're into fashion, celebrities, mystery and humour. But then again, I could be a little bias.
If you'd ever like to ask me a question or get to know me a little more, then Goodreads is the best place to do it!
In the meantime, I'll get back to reading 'Black Ice,' which has me completely hooked by the way. I should have a review up in a couple of days!

Lovestruck- Melanie La'Brooy
You know it's a good week when you get through two novels and you loved them both. This is a review for 'Lovestruck,' which sadly isn't on Goodreads (but Google it!)
Now, I'll be very honest. Sometimes I find it hard to enjoy books that are set in Australia, which is hilarious considering I live in Australia. But maybe I've just spent so long reading books about London and New York that now if anything else comes along, it's a bit unsettling.
I picked up Melanie La'Brooy's book completely on a whim when I saw it at the library, and decided it looked cute. The story of a young, professional and her disastrous dating life in Sydney reminded me of my sister, and many of her misadventures in love.
Almost every line in this book was laugh-out-loud funny, and although there wasn't really a "clear" storyline, I just couldn't put it down. The main character, Isabelle, was so delusional that you couldn't help but fall in love with her crazy ideas and concepts about love. It was so well-written, and the dialogue felt so genuine. I may also be a tad biased, as the love interest shared a name with one of my own book characters, and I just knew I was going to love it.
Truthfully, I had never read anything by La'Brooy or even heard of her until I picked up Lovestruck. But I'm so glad I read this book. It was truly hilarious.
Now I have to go track down every other book she's written, and hope they're just as enjoyable!
