GUYS. It's official.
I'M A PUBLISHED AUTHOR. I know. Crazy.
The 15 year old version of me, who sat in my room late at night and obsessed over a 300 page word document, would never have believed that this could be a reality. But it is, and here we are!
It has been officially one week since Lucky Me released, and the excitement hasn't died down at all. The final few days leading up to the launch were filled with lots of celebrations, anticipation and even a lot of tears when my official launch party sort of fell apart last minute. But you know what? My book is out there now, for the world to see. And it feels...bizarre. Good, but bizarre. Maybe I'll always see it as a word document instead of a proper novel.
In many ways, this book shaped who I am today. I wrote it during a time when I didn't feel happy, and writing through the eyes of a fictional character helped me escape for a while. That's the beauty of story-telling. You can travel the world without ever looking up from a page.
Lucky Me brought me a lot of smiles while writing it, so I sincerely hope it does the same for you if you choose to read it. It's funny and silly and a little nutty, but it has a lot of heart. My heart. I am so grateful that I can share a piece of it with you.
xx
