Petra has lived in a world where plans mean little and dreams are the only constant. Diagnosed with ear disease at the age of eight she turned to books as a way to escape the constant medical procedures that would be a part of her life for the next two decades. She always had an open view of the world around her, having grown up on stories of her gypsy ancestors but a near death experience during surgery confirmed what she had long known, the world has many layers and the people that reside within it have even more.

The journey …moreI am currently working on the second book in the 'When Magic Awakes' series, 'Battle for the Second Realm' due for release in early 2018. The journey for Michael and Dana has only just begun. As the fight intensifies, their powers continue to unlock. My intention with this series is to explore mythology, folklore and magic, not just in a fantasy setting but also in today's world. I think it is too easy to try and departmentalise things into fantasy and reality, I'm hoping to blur the lines a little.(less)

I s…more'Return of the Sleeping Warriors' is the first book in the 'When Magic Awakes' series. Quite honestly the idea for the book came to me in a dream. I suffer from insomnia but find when I do get to sleep, I dream and the dreams are usually epic. This dream was just a simple short concept that keep repeating, night after night, with details slowly expanding out. On the suggestion of my brother in law, who was quite reasonably sick of hearing about these warriors, I started to write it all down.(less)
