“Think of yourself as an athlete. I guarantee you it will change the way you walk, the way you work, and the decisions you make about leadership, teamwork, and success.”
Mariah Burton Nelson, We Are All Athletes

“Nothing changes what alreaday happened. It will always have happened. You either let it break you down or you don't.”
Charles Frazier, Nightwoods

“People don't change, Lola said. Maybe you're still young enough to pretend that's not true. People are who they are, and everybody around them has to take it or go somewhere else.”
Charles Frazier, Nightwoods

“By way of conclusion, Luce said, I lived through it [the rape], so if you can't stand to hear it, you can take me home and go to hell. Men get so damn strange sometimes.”
Charles Frazier, Nightwoods

“Think of yourself as an athlete. I guarantee you it will change the way you walk, the way you work, and the decisions you make about leadership, teamwork, and success.”
Mariah Burton Nelson, We Are All Athletes

“She knew better than to waste that time. There isn't always someone who wants you singing to him or nibbling his ear or brushing his cheek with a dandelion blossom. Somebody who knows when you're being silly, and laughs and laughs. So long as he was little enough to carry, she could hardly bring herself to put him down.”
Marilynne Robinson, Lila
