Praise YOU right now

There are many things that the enemy can take from us, he comes to steal kill and destroy. However, one thing that he cannot take without us giving it to him freely is our voice and our opportunity to praise God through the midst of every trial. This is a song for the true followers of Jesus who do not consider this world their home and are willing to lay down everything to follow Him.

Praise You right now

Bride 31

What does it mean to be ‘the Bride of Christ?’

I believe that Proverbs 31 holds significant keys to our understanding of what Jesus wants from us. It is within this passage that we find character, trustworthiness, hard work, diligence, kindness, servanthood and so many other beautiful traits that will literally turn the heart of any husband.

And this friends, is what we were all called to be and to do for Jesus.

This song is a love song from Jesus to His bride, the question that is yours to answ...

The Sower

Jesus shares an incredible picture with us in Matthew 13. It is in this parable that we understand that the state of our heart is essential to our growth. Many will claim they understand and are living in the Kingdom, and yet few are willing to endure the painful process it takes to become THE GOOD SOIL.

This song is to our journey, may we all become Good Soil, so that the works of Jesus that come out of us can feed this world!

Lis ten here!

As always you can find more encouragement for your jour...

the Standard

As I look around I see the remnants of God's standard strewn about. Our belief and our heart’s position towards His standards will reveal so much about the closeness of our relationship with Him.

The enemy comes against us in many ways in order to draw us away from God, but it seems to me that one of the most prevalent ways he is working right now is to minimize the necessity of God’s design and order for this world and for all of us who inhabit it.

If he can get us to despise God's laws and His j...

If you could create your own kingdom...

…it would probably look similar to that of many others.

What would you do if you had a million dollars?  If you were the president for a day?  If you had three wishes?

Our humanity thrives on the possibility of these questions.  In some ways they become a kind of hope, a what if, that keeps us going and keeps us dreaming beyond the circumstances we are currently in.

And if God one day handed you a key and said, this is to your kingdom, make it whatever you would like it to be.  What would you do?...

Rewriting the past

The past can be altered by the present, and the future is shaped by our past.

In other words, your whole life can be thrown off track simply by the way that you perceive what was.

Our past journey with God is essential to moving forward, especially in seasons like we are currently in.  Even the smallest testimony of His goodness must be held onto and embraced as it truly was.  The moment we let in the lies of Him being late, or not providing enough, or always filling our lives with pain, is the sa...

Are we Ready?

One thing that has become apparent in these last few months for many of us is our obsession with comfort.

We all just want things to go back to what we were used to.  I wonder how many times this thought passed through the minds of the Israelites as they traveled through the desolation of the wilderness.

Does it not feel like a weight is stuck in our very core, and our minds continue to try and convince us of alternate paths to the ending of all of the confusion and transition we are facing.

Some...

The message for today that was written 5 years ago

When I wrote The Compass Series five years ago, I did not understand what I was doing or what its full purpose was.  I was simply directed to write and what came out was a powerful story that unveils the human heart and reveals God’s heart and desire for our freedom in Him.

We are in a contraction.  There is pressure being applied to all of us.  This pressure from situations beyond our control is revealing our love affairs with pride, fear, deceit, lust, greed, and many others.  It seems that it ...

The Invitation of pain

The way of the world is obvious.  Avoid discomfort and pain at all cost.

We are promised many things in the Bible, but one promise that we tend to avoid is the promise of pain, trial and persecution.  If you follow Jesus, these will be a part of your journey.

Godly wisdom leads us not to shy away from the pain of life, but to stand in the midst of it.

I was in my early twenties and had agreed to do repairs on a friend’s cabin that sat on the edge of Lake George, a beautiful lake tucked in the mou...

The only way to defeat fear...

There are many tactics that are being promoted for appeasing, suppressing, and even partnering with fear.

We play worship music nonstop, we pin up scripture verses all around us and we declare and fight for breakthrough in our difficulties all for the sake of trying to conquer an enemy who has us by the throat.

There is a song that I wrote years ago that personifies fear and explains his tactics against us. (Here is the link to listen to it) The interesting thing to me is that the most damaging wa...
