Sean Hogan was born in North York, Ontario. He moved many times as a child to different parts of Southwestern Ontario. He spent most of his time growing up in Burlington, Ontario.
Sean attended Lakehead University and received a Bachelor of Arts & Science and a Bachelor of Education.
After university, Sean spent two years living in Madrid, Spain teaching in the Catholic School Board. He spent his last year teaching at Colegio Nuestra Señora del Pilar. It was during this year that his ideas for his first novel "Painting Angels" came to light.
Sean now resides in Barrie, Ontario working in the local school board. He also spends his summers working at summer camps in Spain.
