Update on my current writing projects
After finishing my first sci-fi novel 'The Sol 3' Agenda, back in 2020 at the beginning of what was to become the Covid-19 Pandemic, I started to write the final book in the Divided Empire Trilogy, 'The Wolves of Erin'. I'd made a really good start on it and had written around 44,000 words when the Delta variant of Covid-19 hit the UK.
Although testing wasn't available, I probably had the virus, for months later when NHS England published all of its symptoms, several of the symptoms that I'd had matched those of the Delta variant. This, combined with the cumulative effects of the numerous lockdowns etc hit me hard, like it undoubtedly did a great many other people and l couldn't concentrate on writing, or even on the research I do for all of my books and especially my historical novels set in late Roman Britain. I therefore had to abandon the project for the time being.
I have begun writing again recently but I decided to write the sequel to 'The Sol 3 Agenda' which is called 'The Sword of Light'. Things are going well at present, and I've written the first 7000 words of the novel. I hope to be able to complete the novel and have it published by the end of 2023.
As regards 'The Wolves of Erin' I've not entirely abandoned that project and once 'The Sword of Light' is completed, I will return to it.
The only social media I'm now on is Twitter and I will remain there as long as it continues to run. I will, however, make certain I write a blog post on Goodreads as often as I can to keep folks updated.
Thank you for the support that you've given me as a writer and an extra special thank you to everyone that's written and posted a review of any of my books. Reviews mean a great deal to any writer and especially to me who never thought he'd see the day when one of his books would be published.
Take care everyone and for my American friends, have a great Thanksgiving Day.The Sol 3 Agenda

Thank you to everyone who has read my books
I'd just like to thank everyone who has read either of my two books and very special thanks also, to those who took the time to leave it a review. It is greatly appreciated. thank you to those of you who bought 'Divided Empire' and made it a best seller at Amazon.co.uk. I truly never thought I'd see the day when I was a best selling writer. I've had several requests for a third Flavius Vitulasius novel and this is at present a work in progress and should be finished sometime next year.
At present I'm writing a Sci-Fi, a complete change for me. It has time travel and alternative history in it and follows the adventures of three young people who learn they are descended from an alien race who populated the Earth many thousands of years ago.
I first had the idea for this novel when I was 17 years old (a very long time ago), but never got around to writing it. That too should be ready for publication next year.

Dark Betrayal
'Dark Betrayal', the second book in the 'Divided Empire' has now been published in Kindle and is also available on Kindle Unlimited. It will also shortly be published in paperback.
Flavius, Siward and Lucius' adventures continue as they face new challenges and dangers, as Arbogastes power grow and he attempts to seize the throne of the Western Roman Empire.
In this book their travels take them far and wide, from the court of the Ard-Ri (High King) of Erin to the fortress of Segontium, where Elen, widow of the former Emperor, Magnus Maximus resides.
They meet an enigmatic, beautiful young widow, daughter of the Duke of the Britons, commander of Rome's army in the north of Britain, who may be a pagan sympathiser and Flavius' undoing. They encounter old enemies too and suffer the worst kind of betrayal.
If you like historical action adventures, then this I hope, is the book for you

Feedback from readers
I think like all writers it's great to have feedback from readers of your books. Not everyone likes writing a review as they possibly think you need special skills to do one.
This is not so, everyone who has read a book knows afterwards whether they enjoyed reading it or not and whether they could recommend the book to other readers. A review I think needs to let others know of this. If you then want to elaborate, then do so. What did you like about the book? Did you like the characters and if so which ones? Was there something about the book that you didn't like, if so what was it?
A review can be as long or as short as you want it to be. Believe me what you have written will be of interest to the author. I'm a new author whose first book was published at the end of November. Up to now I have two reviews on Amazon and one here on Goodreads.
I can't describe properly how it felt to read them. Firstly I felt humbled that someone had read my book and then taken the time to write a review. Secondly I was able to see what they'd thought about the book, which will help my writing. So thank you to those reviewers and yes, I too leave reviews for books I've read.
