I grew up in a family that explored the outdoors in New England, hiking, camping, canoeing, and skiing. When my husband and I met, it was one of the things that drew us together and a large part of our decision to make our home in New Mexico. Being immersed in the natural world and finding times of solitude are ongoing essential parts of the balance of my life, feeding my spirit, my community work and my writing.
After many years in the field of environmental and public health, I felt called to a different kind of service: service through presence, whether that was through offering retreats, spiritual direction, or writing and sharing poetry.
