My Facebook post in its complete form about the residential school discovery and my thoughts about other things...just read.

Okay, Long time no see Blogger people and alike, Well I know it's been two years since I posted Anything on here, but I thought I would make good use of this since, What I did post on Facebook. About the subject in question didn't I guess go over well with some people, since I made three posts about this and got a comment on only one of them, and I am assuming that, that person only read the one post because it's easy to lose important shit among the vast meme's and funny posts, etc,

So though I just thought about this now I figure I should post the aforementioned posts here all in one go so it's easier to understand  why I posted what I posted,

So let's get started, shall we?

Hi, my name is Darkdeadend online, and in real life, I am for as long as have been told (which is my whole life) that I am Metis and am of Cree descent on my mother's side of the family, and English on my Dad's side, and I am proud of both sides. and until recently I found out one of my family members who passed away a while ago had from my understanding, a short stent in a residential school anyway getting to the point of this article I just want to point out that Now that this is going to be a long ass post so grab a coffee and or drink of your choice and sit your butt down.

Because as I stated in my first Facebook post, yes I may catch hell for this. But I can't help how I feel about hearing, about the deaths of those children in the Kamloops Indian residential schools, because this is not the first time I have heard about residential schools, in general, I can't remember how far back it was since I first learned about these god awful places. But I do remember the documentaries I watched on the topic, and how it was hinted that people died in these places. And no one was doing jack shit about it up till Prime Minister Trudeau began the apologies and reconciliation act when he became our prime minister because the government before him and some of his predecessors were trying to cover it up. because they don't want to be compared to the NaNazisho murdered all of those Jewish people during the war, but as of May 26th, 2021 while using ground penetrating equipment at the Kamloops residential school 215 lost souls Children were found forgotten by their country due to old racists who run the church and our government, and what I mean by this and some people may not know this or wish to feign ignorance for not knowing the residential schools were first run by the il Vaticano, the church, the holy sea where a man, a mortal man claiming to be close to god sits. by not apologizing or doing what the government ask them and their predecessors before they are categorically undeniably responsible for the death of these children just as much as our government and in my opinion, it sickens me that these people who take advantage of the common knowledge of god,  won't even come forward for what they have done May 27th, 2017 after making an apology that was far too late, in my opinion on the Government sent a letter to the pope in Rome for them to do the same thing and own up to their hand in this atrocity and you know what we got in return, nada, zilch nothing in fact and I quote a year later on may 28th 2018 the Pope of Rome informed his representative that they were outright refusing to apologize for the murder, abuse, rape, torture, molestation, etc, he even had his representative send that bloody response back to Our government either on a piece of paper or email.

now I want to preface before I go on kind reader these schools were Funded by the Catholic Church i.e The Vatican from 1890 to 1969 after that our federal government took over turning it into a day school until between 1994 and 1996 when the last of the residential schools were closed permanently

and what gets me is these people go on a lie and say that their man-made version of their god,  loves everyone or that their organization is a force for good.  except they forgot to add that their god only loves people who are not people of color or that their "force for the good organization"  hides the fact that they persecute people of the Lbgtq+ community and okay the continuation of Pedophilic priests to okay continuing their disgusting indulgences by transferring their "problem priests" as they call them to other parishes. Yet they say that the Church is a force for good?

I mean they may have saved god only knows how many Jewish children from going to the Nazi death camps like Auschwitz, Dachau  Belzec, etc, but the problem is the list of Sins the Vatican has racked up over the years has outweighed the amount of blood on their hands.

And now as of yesterday watching CNN I found out that another residential school st. Anne's which was run by the Church, Had an Electric Chair, and I don't know how some people would ask why at the time the Vatican run school for Nativ, First nation children  would have a fucking Electric chair but I can tell you that just by putting two and two together that chair was either used for torture or as a form of unnecessary  electroshock therapy to shock the native out of the native children and make them forget where they came from so they can easily be assimilated into white society or die in the process considering an electric chair was one of the worst ways to kill a convicted criminal and that is what the Vatican and the government labeled these children as  when they did that and all because they were not Christian or white which I call racism on both accounts

in fact to reiterate, if the Vatican states god loves all people why would a place like st. Does need needs a fucking electric chair? for that matter why would a place like st, Anne's exist if the Vatican states that god loves all people?

Just not people of color or anyone apparently from the LGBTQ+  community or victims of sexual abuse by priests... Right? but according to the Vatican, their god loves everyone.

Honestly, I think the Vatican is a hypocritical joke and should either apologize or start naming names of the ones who murdered these innocent children or do both... I would prefer to hear both if it were up to me.

And even though this is far too late and it will never bring these children or our culture back I will reiterate one last time that the Vathatn should still step forth and fucking own up to its part in one of Canada's biggest not so well-kept secret Genocide. I mean again how long is it going to take for them to do it huh? when they dig up another 215 bodies anyway  I am sorry to the kind readers who may or may not read this but I normally never vent and I should have done it here in the first place then the almighty Facebook, crack book what have you were people only read part of it or take the comments posts, etc, out of bloody context.

but once again from what I stated above the Vatican still from my understanding has not issued an apology or even done a follow-up to when they politely told everyone to off their pop. and what gets me still is they say god loves all living creatures except once again they forgot to add in only if you are white, none gay, and have a penchant for small children, hence why I said the church is full of hypocrisy and I will add on in willful denial.

now side note,

I want to just put this out there that I by no means whatsoever at any time in this rant/article etc, stated that god is not real or that you should not believe in god because of what these cultish bastards did .now you wouldn't know it by reading all of this but I am a firm believer in god, I also believe that there is a devil as well, but  I can categorically say I don't believe in the church, I mean how can I when it was these people in question who did so much for a lack of a better term nasty shit.

Yet they claim in their man-made bible, that god loves everyone/ all creatures, etc? so tells me where was their version of god when these children were being systematically murdered.

Also, I would like to add more about how our government is still blowing smoke out of their ass by what I would like to call giving an empty apology but I would like to just leave you here with these articles I found on the net that you might find interesting or fucking horrifying, but it's up to you?

this link here is from the government of Canada  in black and white detailing how the Vatican refused to apologize

Church apologies and reconciliation act

and I just remembered another link I found recently on a Canadian who tried to help uncover the atrocities at the native residential schools.

https://thetyee.ca/Views/2008/04/30/TruthAndAbuse/

 https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Document:A_Day_in_the_Life_of_a_Banned_Canadian

here is another link its the one that I initially posted to Facebook from global news

Global News response on the native residential remains found

Okay, and in closing, I want to make something extremely clear, to some who may take this whole article out of context or may think I am being a fucking asshole, bitch, twa,t, etc like I said above and I will say one more time I am in no way whatsoever taking shots at any one person or people who happen to be religious i.e believe in god, in fact as I said before I to believe in god and I believe that there is a devil, I just don't believe in good conscious what the church has to say and it's mainly because of the atrocities that they were involved in I mean they have so much blood on their hands it's downright fucking scary I mean you could make an entire plethora of horror films out of what they have done....wait that is going overboard... basically the type of shit this organization has done to people, put it this way it's so freaking scary that Scientology does not hold a candle in comparison to them.

and I should know because, from a young age, I studied history. After all, I wanted to become an archaeologist cause that is what I thought the term was at the time but what I wanted to get into was Egyptology, and due to life reasons i.e health, etc I couldn't so I just picked something else, and continued studying more history and that is how I found out that to learn about one thing you tend to have to pick up on learning a bit about another like theology.

anyway, I am gonna shut off commenting on here but for people on my Facebook list my DM direct messaging is open for a private discussion about this whole thing so feel free to privately message me but if you feel the need to be publicly rude I will just go ahead and remove your comment because I have had that happen in the past and I am not up for having someone start an unnecessary war on the topic.

also in advance thank you guys from both Facebook and blogger here for being so understanding and I am super sorry for venting like a crazy person but I have legit been holding this in for a long freaking time.

Let us remember the children

215 Kamloops BC

70 Brandon MB including ones that were not located in the cemetery where they were found.

35 livestock SK

751 unmarked graves found at Former Marivel Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan

160 Vancouver Island B.C.

at the former Marivel Indian residential school in Saskatchewan, there may be evidence of adults being buried there as well but from what I have heard they estimated that there could be at least 600 children buried there as well. I will update this list when more information comes out.

182 Cranbrook B.C.

In Brandon Manitoba, 104 bodies were found between three residential schools.

and all the others who have yet to be found

And yet the pope has still not issued an apology on behalf of the Vatican and their hand in the genocide because as far as they are concerned it's not their problem. It's the churches in Canada that are being made to take the blame even though at the end of the day they still answer to the holy sea of Rome. So what's going on here is they are using the churches in Canada as scapegoats so they don't have to face prosecution for the murder of all these children and the culture they stood for.

And to those who are looking to explain this incident to a young child my advice I would just tell them straight out that the people who did this to those children were mentally unwell and leave it at that because after reading the above mention unless you want to scare them for life to the point where they would need therapy I suggest telling them when they are a bit older because there is no way of getting around the horrifying disturbing shit the government and the church did to those children...but that is just my advice. If you can manage to make it child friendly enough for them to understand then kudos to you.

to whom it may concern in general that has a problem with the LGBTQI+ community trying to tech kids its okay to be different.

( disclaimer: if you happen to be one of these discriminatory religious bigots mentioned in the blog and don't like what I have to say that is fine however this is my informed opinion,  On my blog. you don't have to like it and fuck you don't have to read it and yes some things I say in here may sound slightly hypocritical, but so what I feel like something needs to be said... Oh and side note I am gonna be blunt as fuck and yes I swear like a fucking sailor and my grammar sucks etc.

But you have been warned ahead of time)
👇👇Now on with the blog....👇👇
Hello blogger my old friend, I've come to talk to you again...
Anyway, there is this video I found on Facebook that I can't post since I would have to get the users consent, but I was gonna write a comment about it  on Facebook then decided against it since the last time I posted something about red dress day on there I had some racist little skinhead in my feed spouting nonsense soo I was like well fuck it I'll post here...
Now with that out of the way, if you are still with us good reader, I originally came across this topic more than once but there is a video on my Facebook page talking about how LGBTQI+ culture should be taught in libraries, schools, etc. And how people are opposing it... Personally I think that is  fucked btw I mean come on we get taught sex education in school for fuck sake in grade seven or whatever grade since I heard once upon a time that schools wanted to start teaching kids younger than that... But anyway don't start shitting on me in the comments ( which are turned off btw) because some kids may or may not be ready for sex ed class yet they get forced into learning it... Is this starting to sound familiar?
Don't worry it will click in shortly... Hopefully..
But moving on this blog was sparked after a comment I was gonna add after reposting that person's video on facebook. As far as I am concerned as someone who used to be bullied in general, yes it may be up to the parents to teach little Timmy or little Suzy it is not okay to bully, but what gets me is parents are paying their hard-earned tax money towards schools who just talk about bullying not being okay and to teach kids that if they are being bullied to go to a teacher... You know what that does not a fucking thing what it gets you is the teacher possibly talking to the student... If they even do it at all and if it is more than once maybe even detention but ultimately it gets you learning how to do yoga to kiss your ass, when you get bullied from when you leave the school doors to your fucking house (I had that happen to me once) or if your lucky your ass beat in a nearby park as some unfortunate students ended up...
Now I can understand that yes each person is capable of forming an opinion about people/ persons, religion, etc. But most of the time, not an informed opinion, and with that said I was brought up with the old saying keep your opinions to yourself, and if you have nothing nice to say ferma la bouche ( close the mouth.. I.e keep your trap shut)

And as I stated above in the video I agree with the one in green, everyone should feel the right to be included not be made to feel like their parents should have aborted them because some religious or none religious uneducated ( people who are afraid and don't understand) fuckwit says so.
For example.
To whom it may concernSaid religious/non-discriminatory bigots you guys shit all over the LGBTQI+ community and treat them like the devil's hellspawn... I have a few questions besides asking what kinda drywall you have been huffing but do you not realize that your bitchin' about the wrong thing?Come on I don't see the LGBTQI+ indoctrinating little Timmy or little Suzy into being gay or lesbian etc. As the person in that video stated they knew they were gay from the age of 11 and were being bullied prior when they were 8... They probably didn't know what word to place with what they were feeling at the time,  but they knew they were different and being different is OK whether you knew it or not m'kay...

But let us move on to your church, religion, and the Vatican what have you, who ripped native children from their homes, molested raped, and murdered them... And there are records of priests diddling children of all ethnicities all over the fucking world, and btw let's not forget the pray the gay away conversion camps they probably still have that you might not even know about..and you wanna take a stand against a community that is fighting to coexist with everyone who only wishes to teach others its okay to be different... Well, I got news for you boo boo.. Look in your backyard before you start casting stones.. Please?
And as for what I was saying earlier about people saying "the gays" are trying to turn our children gay etc. Or they are trying to enforce their way of thinking onto kids. And how I compared that to the fact that schools, in general, are enforcing kids to learn about shit they are most likely not ready for I mean every kid is different( oh shit I used that word again) I mean when I was a kid I was thinking about anime and trading cards, not a dick or where it goes, etc I didn't even give a shit where babies came from either at the time... I even hid the permission slip so I wouldn't have to attend a class on it and yes I got in shit for that but still getting to the point, like i said above awhile back there was talk flying about, about how the schools wanted to go even further back in the grades to teach sex ed WHAT THE FAck would a grade one to four know about how to insert the weiner in the donut hole and why the fuck should they learn it?!
Yet you guys wanna cancel something that completely has nothing to do with making your kid gay etc. Either they are born gay or end up gay later in the life of their own fucking volition get over it.
And as for the nonreligious bigots in general out there I feel some pity for the younger generation because that is self-taught hate which sadly as a human race we can't eradicate it sadly, because it doesn't matter if you are gay, straight black, or white, or any ethnicity or sexuality or even if you are skinny or fat or average or even ugly or beautiful there is ALWAYS gonna be that one asshole out there that will ruin it for everyone with their hateful comments and spew what their parents taught them and so on but it also doesn't mean we the people who have the balls to show compassion for our fellow man, woman or child have to put up with it... But we can't ignore the fact that racism and discrimination do not exist either.
So in conclusion the LGBTQI+ are not trying to endoctranate ya kids like the church does.
But regarding the LGBTQI+ community they should be allowed to date whoever the fuck they want, be whoever they want to be, and be allowed to exist like any normal person out there it is none of our business what they do with their lives as much as its not their business with what we do with ours.
Who are we to tell them wtf to do and vice versa..
Anyway end of blog post.
 I am done..

updates and life

Hi, everyone, it's been awhile...at least a year I think?
But anyway getting to the point I know this blog is extremely late, but honestly, this one is warranted because as of this month last year I lost my father (as in he passed away) here at home. so I.E that is the main reason why I was M.I.A, on blogging.  especially due to the fact that I was pretty fucked up emotionally,  and I don't mean that in an "Oh shit I just lost one of my parents kinda way" cause it was more of "Oh shit I just fucking lost my dad and my best friend all in one swing and I wanna go with them so badly kinda way. so, in general, I figured yeah not a good time to be posting. So for anyone who reads my blog and got pissed off because it was late well shit happens and my family and health come first.

Now onto an actual update, do you guys remember when I announced on here that I created a "creator-owned" project? well, I can name it now the project is called Born Damned.
and not only is it viewable on Tapastic it is also now officially as of a year ago posted on the following site's.

Tapastic
Smackjeeves
wattpad
mangaido
 webtoons

OH shit, I also almost forgot I even opened up a patreon and Ko-fi account  for it as well lol. which you can find it here.

Patreon
Ko-fi

So, all in all, even if the year started off shitty, as you can see I'm still keeping myself busy, and I also plan on finishing my school work as well by going back ^^ so once again sorry it took so long on posting  here but I hope to eventually get another post up soon. which shouldn't be long since I'll have some more stuff by the end of the month to share.
so, for now, ladies and gentlemen I must bid adieu and go back to work, see you later.

another new year:?

well its the next day January 2, 2017
so no longer new years day, but anyway I ain't gonna hide this but this year sucked for a lot of people encluding myself, for example for example lost a few of my favorite idols some actors others musicians than not only that, during 2016, two place's that I had plan, to sell my work closed down before I could finish the work, then recently we had a problem here (personal reasons) which stifles my creativity since due to that problem I am prevented  from painting. plus that personal reason also has put a damper on my schooling as well other than that, the only good thing that has come out of 2016 is what work I have managed to work on the computer which is my creator owned comic Born damned and a novel project that I have been working on since 2004, other than that I am seriously glad 2016 is done and over with..cheers to 2017 may it be way the fuck better.

visiting the Royal Ontario Museum's Egyptian, Roman and other exibit

These photos were taken right after the Pompeii exhibit, and to make a long story short this is where the visit actually started to become more enjoyable and if I know any information about what is in the photo I will be more than happy to post about, it in here as well. for, example this photo that I took in the main hall area of the museum  consists of four canopic jars from Egypt that were used to store the innards of a human body during and after the mummification process for instance.
Hapi: the Baboon-headed god represents the north, who's jar contains the lungs and is protected by the goddess neyphthys. Canopic jars

Photograph copyrighted by Jessica Reader Animals were highly respected throughout Egyptian history because they believed that animals were crucial to both physical and spiritual survival. mostly to the physical survival because the animals were a major source of food, and to the spiritual survival which was based on how well a person treated an animal during their life on earth.  Because some of them were considered to be literal incarnations of the gods, therefore it was understandable why the Egyptians would have wanted to hold such animals in their highest regards, by giving then a proper burial through mummification.Egyptian religion also taught that in order to determine a person's admittance or denial to the afterlife, for instance, the gods would ask a series of judgement questions, for example"Have you mistreated any animals during your life on earth?" and the reason why that question would have been asked is because it was believed that the killing of an animal was considered a serious crime in Ancient Egypt, which was punishable by death. And long before animal mummification was used for religious offerings, animals were mummified for personal reasons, as a beloved pet, they would keep the deceased company in the afterlife. but it is also said that Egyptians believed that the afterlife would be a continuation of this one, which according to them allowed transportation of such items as food to the next life which would have been prepared by dehydrating the meat and wrapping it in linen bandages to indicate that the animals were food not, pets, because they were not mummified to the same meticulous extent that a pet or human mummy would be.It was also said that a vast majority of Egyptian animal mummies were religious offerings, because when the Egyptians sought favor from the gods, they would make offerings or purchase an offering and place it at the appropriate temple of the god they wish to please.but long before the mummification of animals became common, these offerings were usually statues made out of bronze depicting the animals, but however eventually the animal mummies became the most popular form of offering.

Mummification(this photo above explains how they did the mummification process)
But, when a person died, what they would do is take the body to a tent outside of the city, called the tent of purification,(there is another name for it but I can't pronounce the name.) they would bathe the body once, then go over it again with Palm wine. afterward, they would send someone in that was deemed the slitter, who would come up with an obsidian knife and make a small incision in the lower left flank of the body. just big enough to stick their hand in and begin removing the organs one by one.
Then after the incision was made the other embalmers would take pebbles and customarily pelt the slitter with them, since the body back then was considered to be sacred.once this was done they would then go back to their job by continuing the process of removing the organs one by one, leaving all but the heart inside since they believed the heart would be needed in the afterlife, because back then they believed that one thought more with their heart than their head. Once the organs were removed the body was once again washed in Palm wine and then after the organs were removed, the body was then packed with spices, such as Myrrh and Muslin packets of wood shavings.then afterwards the body was then rubbed down with a mixture of five oils which were frankincense, Myrrh, Palm, Lotus and cedar oil.and the reason for this would be to naturally retard the decomposition of the body.  But anyway, once that is finished the body would be covered in a substance which was found off the coast of the Siani peninsula called Natron for thirty- five days. which around that time  the Natron would suck up all of the moisture out of the body,

Then once the thirty-five days were up they would chip the Natron away and continue their job, now the reason why they left the Natron on the body for thirty-five days was so they could leave just enough moisture in the body so they could be able to move the arms in whatever position that was desired.
(But all in all the mummification ritual took roughly seventy days)Afterward, they would sit the body on what is called an embalmers board and begin wrapping the mummy with untreated linen, which also had inscriptions on them as well, which were most likely spells/incantations.The linen was then glued down with resin.after that once the mummy was finished it was then placed inside the sarcophagus  (Flesh eater) which as you can see in the pictures with Anjau one of the Rom's mummies. was also inscribed with spells and incantations.

Sarcophagus Photo copyrighted(c) by Jessica Reader 2016Now, this might be a little backward since this should have been at the top, above the mummification process paragraph. now going back to the sarcophagus, which I stated in the last paragraph translated in greek to Flesh eater.
The sarcophagus was also usually and obviously created years in advance before the person died.( how many hours exactly, unfortunately, I do not know?) I do know however that the pigments that were used to paint the sarcophagus were ground up charcoal, blue glass the list goes on.
the sarcophagus also before I forget held the name of the deceased inscribed in what is  known as a cartouche(name plate) somewhere on the front, top of the head on the inside or at the foot of the casket.

The likeness?Plus here is a small tidbit  for the people w ho are not into history or in this case just getting into it if you are reading this. in the photo to my left or in this case to your right if you are right-handed. the reason why the likeness of the sarcophagus had to be just right, was because and this is from the knowledge that I know ( so please if I am wrong you have been warned)  that the sarcophagus's likeness was for the deceased to take on that particular form in the after life.

What was the sarcophagus made out of?
Well it was made out  of various thing from wood, stone, pewter or gold,  gold being obviously reserved for the nobility or royalty of corse.

were all mummies buried in a sarcophagus?
Yes and no, basically some were buried in wooden, sarcophagus and in the case of this person to my right,  if you were poor back then or had little money, you most likely would end up buried with what little worldly possessions you had in what some would call a pauper's grave.
And another thing before I forget due to not having a photo to show I am going to make this last part brief but once the mummification process was done they also included a rolled up papyrus known as the book of the dead, that contained a multitude of spells and incantations to help the deceased travel through the nine circles to the afterlife. also, a perfect example of one of these books of the dead can be found at the British museum in London.

Cleopatra IIVThis here is the bust of Cleopatra IIV, one of the last pharaoh's to rule Egypt, before it was then taken over under the Roman rule of then emperor Octavian/Agustus Caesar.
Now I would go into detail about this subject but I am pretty sure you who are reading this already know about this woman so I shall move on to the next.
The wall of Hatshepsut
Most likely taken from her funerary temple (known as Djeser-Djeseru holy of holies) which is located in Dier-el bahari near the valley of the kings. now the relief was damaged due to the fact that Hatshepsut was born a female and was not fit to rule Egypt since back then the male counterparts were considered to rule and even though she and her step-son Thutmose  got along fairly well he had all of her statues and reliefs damaged or destroyed, more or less to erase the fact that there was ever a female pharaoh.

As the title says for now I'm going to cut the small history lessons for now and just post the rest of the photo's due to the fact that this article should have been posted a long time ago but rest assured if anyone has any questions on my history knowledge feel free to message me and I will be happy to add more to this article, but for now here are the rest of the photo's.

A little word...

This is technically a bulletin from my site......normal stuff and what not.And normally I would not post it here since this blog is related to personal stuff like my visit to the museum, for which I will finish posting very soon, but getting to the point it has come to my attention that I have not written much on the state on the state of my projects for awhile now, and I thought I would let you the reader or occasional visitor of my site and blog, on exactly what I have been up to for the last month or so.
But anyway, it has been a bit since I have updated The Tragedy of Death, Anthology and for that I once again am deeply sorry but the chapter I was working on has not quite formed properly in my mind or on paper, though don't fret I am still diligently working on it to the best of my abilities, though as of now until I have the next few pages done it will be temporarily on hiatus until then so I can figure it out. So for those who are waiting for the next page, I am sorry to keep you waiting but you're going to have to wait a little longer. But I promise you when I have the next one or, at least, a buffer for it is done, I will post it, straight away, post haste etc, and trust me you won't be sorry.
As for some good news, I do have another project that I would like to announce not by name however but by the fact that it is one of my second oldest project for which I am happy to say has finally gone from the brainstorming process, for which is why it took me so bloody long on it, getting it to paper and what not. spawning into two different things, one being a novel... which still needs some work on it, and the other being a manga styled comic which I am very happy to say started it's virtual life on March 16th, 2016 on www.tapastic.com and my main website, and do not be alarmed believe it or not I do have more then three pages of this actually finished, I'm just trying to figure out how to use a method some artists called toning, which has worked out quite fine from what I have seen so far lol. So basically expect to see a few pages posted soon regarding this one.
As for the artistic side of things, I have started painting again, which means you can expect to see some of them posted on there very, very soon. And hopefully soon I might be able to have a few displayed as well both on my online stores and else where as well.
Anyway as that's basically all I have that is important to say today on the subject of projects and  very late postings and such. Anyway have a happy easter everyone,

Visiting the Royal Ontario Museum's Jin Dynasty Exhibit

The Jin dynasty Exhibit after we left the Pompeii Exhibit this was our next stop now a few of these photo's were taken in the Jin dynasty Exhibit, I hope that was the name of the exhibit because one of the artifact, which if memory serves me right was one of the burial miniatures that they had there.
Now as far as I know from which research I had to do.

the Jin dynasty was a ruling house founded by SimaYan, and was one of the last dynasties  between 265 to 240 A.D. and was considered one of the six main dynasties that ruled china.
- they were also successors to the Wei dynasty and conquered the last of the three kingdoms.
-their territory also covered the whole of China, which in the beginning extended even as far as the western territories which is now modern Xinjiang.
-the jin dynasty was also divided into two parts which were the western, Xijin  and the eastern Dongjin,
-and in the western Xijin, their imperial capital was Luoyang which is modern Luoyang, Henan.

anyway now the link where I got most of this information is from here since I'm not very savvy with Chinese history except for the Qin dynasty.

now as for the photo's, these were all taken by me on January 2 th, 2016 when I visited the Royal Ontario museum.

Visiting Pompeii in the shadow of the volcano exhibit along with a slight review

Yesterday, around 12:30 pm I went to visit the Royal Ontario Museum for the first time in years with my mother to see the Pompeii in the shadow of the volcano, and as far as I am concerned the lineup when we got there about, 4 pm was ridiculously long, went all the way out to the sidewalk. so we froze our backsides off outside for a good, and I may be exaggerating a bit here 30 maybe 40 minutes outside. and by the time we got inside, then about another 5-minute wait to get our tickets,  and once we got our tickets we had to wait until 5:30 pm for the next showing, so we decided to go into the gift shop to kill some time plus just in case we couldn't make it back so getting to the point while we were there took me a bit to find what I wanted due to the fact that some of the stuff they were selling price wise was completely ridiculous on some things I mean my mother spent 66$ on only four thing and mine came to 30$ altogether.
but anyway, once 5:30 pm rolled around we were told to go downstairs, took the elevator and well I soon found out why the room that the exhibit was in was stuffy and pretty crowded, badly lit and I know it's only an exhibit for viewing  and what not but quite a bit, of people, were there taking photo's, which I myself included  for, example, this one here was the only one that had fairly good lighting but as you will see
Plaster cast of a dog found in Pompeii
photograph is copyright,(c) 2016 by Jessica Reader
what I mean with  most of the pictures that I had to use flash most of the time.
but another thing  that kinda irked me, for example, is the way some of the exhibits were set up I mean the picture here was labeled the dog who did not escape which is bloody obvious just, by the way, you look at the plaster cast is of a dog writhing in agony from being caught in the volcanic blast that is basically it,
Roman Nobel clip that was used to hold the toga on
Photograph is copy,(c) 2016 by Jessica Reader

and though I know there is a reason why they don't allow drinks or food in there but this kinda annoys me slightly  due to the fact that we could not exactly leave said stuffy area to go and have a drink or get dinner because it was at that appropriate time. more or less you would have had to go through the whole exhibit just to get to the exit,
so not wanting to cut time short I waited until we were almost at the very end of the exhibit to whip out a small bottle of orange juice that I got while waiting for the train to get to Toronto in the first place, now  normally I stick to the rules but it was that dry and stuffy in there that I would rather not cut my time short and take a damn  drink. Roman woman dressed to assert their rank in society
Photograph copyrighted(c) by Jessica Reader 2016now the other thing that annoys me is the fact that there were kids at this exhibit and low and behold another shitty display set up called Sex in the city yes you guessed it right they had one small set up dedicated to the Roman's sexual rituals and pleasure so on and so forth like I know that they had sex but Christ kids don't need to be asking their parents questions at an early age here is an example of what I mean and this is just the light version of what I was talking about.
Pan having sex with a goat
Photographs  Copyrighted(c) by Jessica Reader 2016

so anyway going to cut that short and just  move onto what actually made the event actually interesting But the cool thing that they did have there was this one exhibit that had this bronze statue with a woman that had glass eyes standing in front of a projection screen showing the eruption of Mount Visuvius now the only thing that sucked about that was the constant flashing of lights that could give someone a seizure other than that the rest of the set up was good now as for the other stuff though, one of the things I can say is that most of what they had on display that was, real was beautiful, the paintings, glassware, everyday objects all the way down to the mummified figs and carbonized ancient bread they had on display near the beginning I mean I seriously thought it was a gigantic piece of charcoal at first until I got a really good look at it. (sorry did not get a picture of it.)
but anyway the best part about the whole actual exhibit in my opinion is getting to see the plaster casts of the victims up close because if you are as into history as I am you might have already seen the documentary on mount Vesuvius exploding because a few of the plaster casts original real counterparts are in the documentary so for me I thought it was pretty cool seeing it up close.
but while looking at the plaster casts of the victims and the dog shown above in made me think of what they went through which actually ended with me getting seriously depressed about it for a bit, that is until I finally got out then I was just plain disappointed at the fact that at the very end of the exhibit they had a gift shop exploiting the dead victims like I know they have been dead a long time but there is still such a thing as showing a little respect am I right?
I mean when I was looking around there they had little paper weight plaster cast statues of the victims and get this I wanted to buy a set of nice sandals and they were selling them for 145$ without tax. I mean the sandels were nice but they were not a 145$ nice which here in canada rounds off to about 245$ with the tax.
but any way though it sounds like I had a shitty time I actually did not, I mean I had a blast going to the ROM, got to see some really cool things and I will eventually make the trip back there again I just wish that they would of set the Pompeii exhibit up a little better. so honestly if I was to give it a four-star review it would only get 3 stars out of me due to the fact the set up was well just bad...anyway, for the next few pages all you are going to see is pictures from the Pompeii exhibit then after that I will continue writing.
