MIRRORVILLE IS NOW LIVE ON THE KINDLE STORE AND FREE ON NOOK!
Hey, “Mirrorville Book 1: Reflections” is now live on the Kindle Store for 99 cents! And in celebration for this new release, I’ve made the Nook version of Mirrorville free! Yes, you can now read the first installment in the Mirrorville series for free on the Nook app and for 99 cents on Kindle! Here’s the plot of Mirrorville Book 1:
“Teenage rocker, Marley Timmons, has always been stuck in the shadow of her seemingly perfect sister. Rayna has always been the star of their family and right now it seems that this will never change. If only their father hadn't disappeared years ago, maybe things would be different. Because right now the only thing that keeps Marley sane is her band mates and the strange boy who visits her in her dreams. But what happens when her dreams become reality and Marley, along with her friends and family, is transported to a magical new world called "Mirrorville"? Where Marley not only has Rayna's life, but everyone is a reflection of who they were in our world. And where does Marley's missing father fit into all of this? To find out the answers she needs, Marley must master the art of spell casting and face a horde of shadow demons. Though, all of this might only be the beginning of something truly dangerous in new novella series.”

New E-Book ”Mirrorville” is now available on Nook!
Hello, everyone! I’ve just finished writing and publishing a new ebook novella called “MIRRORVILLE BOOK 1: REFLECTIONS” exclusively on Nook. Now, I know what your thinking — Why would I publish through Barnes and Noble Press, when Knight School was published through KDP? Well, the reason why is that if Reflections sells 1,000 copies in 12 months, I can make a pitch to Barnes and Noble to publish a print version in their chain of stores! So, for everyone who loved Knight School, please buy a copy of Mirrorville Book 1: Reflections today. Because if you loved the kick-ass girls of The Mystic Brats — you will feel an even deeper affection for Mirrorville’s main girl: Marley Timmons. Here’s the plot of this first installment of a brand new novella series:
“Teenage rocker, Marley Timmons, has always been stuck in the shadow of her seemingly perfect sister. Rayna has always been the star of their family and right now it seems that this will never change. If only their father hadn't disappeared years ago, maybe things would be different. Though, all of this might only be the beginning of something truly dangerous in new novella series.”
So? What do you think? Please let me know in the comments. If Mirrorville sells 100 copies this week, I will post an exclusive sneak peak at the first four chapters of THE MYSTIC BRAT JOURNALS BOOK TWO: FUGITIVES right here on GoodReads. Here’s the the link to Mirrorville Book 1: https://m.barnesandnoble.com/w/books/...
And if you have time to read the full novella, please post a review on Barnes and Noble.com or on GoodReads. Have fun :)

KNIGHT SCHOOL IS OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE IN PAPERBACK ON AMAZON
Hey, everyone! My name is Robert G. Culp and I am the author of THE MYSTIC BRAT JOURNALS BOOK ONE: KNIGHT SCHOOL. This is my first blog post on GoodReads, so I'd like to take a little time to introduce myself and my book. I was raised in the southern town of Stuttgart Arkansas. Stuttgart is a very small town and has very few stores. So, I lived for the weekends where my mom would drive me to the closest city and let me go to either Barnes and Noble or Books-A-Million. I still remember the first time that I picked up Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone, it was the first time I felt magic in my life. The words of Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Sirius Black and more still flow through my mind when I need them most. I would even spend our family vacations in Florida looking for sanctuary in the nearest bookstore.
At age ten, my mother removed me from the school system to home school me herself due to the fact that my head had started experiencing violent tremors. Eventually, we journeyed all the way to Rochester MN, where a neurologist examined a hole in my brain and gave me medicine to control it and the tremors.
In 2016, I finally earned my GED and started applying for colleges. Then, in 2017, I was accepted to The University of Central Arkansas.
Now, I know what you're thinking — "Wasn't this post supposed to be about your book?" — and you're right. In 2015, I finished what would be my first draft of a book called "KNIGHT SCHOOL". I submitted to various publishers and agents, receiving many rejection letters. A few hybrid publishers wished to publish my book, but alas times are tough and I have been unable to afford the costs. So, I submitted my book to Kindle Scout and Swoon Reads. I received a good flow of traffic on each one and even though neither one accepted KNIGHT SCHOOL, it gave me the courage to try self-publishing... again.
In 2015, I published various chapters of KNIGHT SCHOOL as different short stories and novels, but none of those really worked out. So, I was a little anxious when I decided to try it again in February 2018. But with a new title and more content, KNIGHT SCHOOL had done moderately well on the kindle store and then... I decided to publish it in print!
So, I spent months trying at first with Lulu Press, eventually going with Kindle Direct Publishing. With the book going live on Amazon just yesterday.
I'm still pretty new to this whole author and publisher thing, so my book may be rough with editing or design. But I am proud of my book and happily working on number two in the series.
The paperback copy of KNIGHT SCHOOL has a table of contents and the first two chapters from book two inside. Also, for those who read the ebook and thought that it was difficult to follow the POV changes in each chapter, I have put each chapter title for each character in a different font. Like, for example, where it says "Jason's Journal" there will be a different font than where it describes "Nara's Journal". Each word in the series title is also in a font that represents all four main characters Kirk, Jason, Nara, and Julie. I've also revamped the ebook format through Kindle Create, but it does not have the different fonts like the print version does. Right now, the print book is 9.99 and the ebook is .99 cents.
Both can be bought at this link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1980412499?...
I'm thinking of answering some author questions soon here on GoodReads and I'll be posting another entry on this blog next week. Until then, have a magical week.
