I would remind the protagonist, before he embarked on his trip into the future, that showing empathy and helping others is by far the most important human activity. I would also warn him that technology without humanity can be very dangerous. Hopefully this would allow the protagonist to understand more quickly the relationship between the Morlocks and the Eloi, who are the creatures he meets when he travels far into the future in his machine. I would also encourage him not to take the second trip in the time machine in which he never returns, and instead suggest that he promote the concepts of humanity and kindness in Victorian England. Perhaps by influencing his present world, he could somehow alter the terrible fate of the Morlocks and the Eloi in the distant future.(less)
