I was born and raised in Sheffield, England and I still remain there today, living with my amazing husband, three beautiful monsters and one very furry baby…a huskita called Elsa. My monsters teach me things every single day, whether it be all the words to the latest Ed Sheeran song or how to get cherryade out of a cream sofa…there’s never a dull moment.

I have many jobs- wife, mother, nurse, cook, cleaner, reader, writer, baker, teacher and occasionally a tissue (though not necessarily in that order.) I'm looking forward to bringing you my debut novel Grace on April 15th.

Today has been one of those days...not one of those "bad" days, more one of those "weird" kind of days. It's been long and it's been busy but it has been unbelievably exciting. First off, I was interviewed by my fellow GenZ author Chris Smolinski, who I then in turn, interviewed right back! I really loved this trilogy, think it’s a great little series for teens just coming into reading. Victoria Schwab has a way of writing such interesting characters even in her younger teen books and I love how sh twists and turns a story so you never ...more

I love this series, learning more of the adventures of Cassidy the ghost hunter.

This one was a little more sad than the first, with a deeper story about a poor child and some bad circumstances. I love how Jacob’s story is progressing as well and how

I thought this was a really fun YA ghost story. Cassidy has one foot on either side of the veil thanks to an accident in which she pretty much died. I love the idea that her parents are these supernatural writers/investigators and yet she can actuall ...more

Although I guessed the twist fairly early on, it didn’t detract from the way this story unfolded and the great way the author took us on a heart wrenching journey of discovery and ultimately, healing, with Cady.

What I like about this, is it wasn’t an instant, Mills and Boon swooning romance with grand gestures of love and declarations…it was a more realistic portrayal of how two people can meet and make such an indent in the shape of someone’s life. It’s ab ...more

I must admit, I’ve always felt that second books have to work so hard to get it right…to close plot holes, to recapture that love from the first book and keep the adventure flowing.
I feel like Emily Thiede managed it…just. I’ve given it 5 stars beca

Did a reread of this book so I could read the second and still love it as much as the first time I read it.

It took me a while to get into this book and I really thought it was going to be a DNF but after giving myself some space from it (and spending an inordinate amount of time scrolling through fanart 😂) I settled back into it and I’m so glad I did!
