YA Novel

SO. I'm finally back to writing my YA novel that has the working title "Falling to Pieces" (this may be changed soon). I was originally going to write it under a pseudonym that I've previously used, however I have now decided to publish it under my own name. It's a story about an 18 year-old girl, Eliza, who is struggling with mental illness and ends up staying in a psychiatric hospital after attempts on her life. It will follow the leading up to her stay, during her stay and after her stay - and will see her recovery, strength and growth. I've cried a few times while writing it, which has been interesting, so I'm hoping it will have an impact on people who read it as well.

It will be quite a triggering book, so if anyone is sensitive to the issues raised in the book (suicide attempts, self harm, psychiatric hospital stays, body issues) then please don't read it, or read it with caution.

I'm nearly finished with writing it, so it shouldn't be too long until it's published in hardback, paperback and Kindle versions.

Exciting times!

Shan

P.S. I might change the title to "Out of the Wilderness".

Writing!

I'm currently busy busy busy with writing my next YA novel. This one will be published under a pseudonym about suffering, recovery and growth. (if you'd like to read the book after it is published, send me a message and I'll tell you the pen-name it's written under and the title). I'm having a lot of "fun" writing it, and by "fun" I mean crying whilst writing it and hoping you will cry when/if you read it too :)!
