If I run dry on whatever project I'm currently working on, I pause and do research,( yes, even fiction requires research to get the details right) or I work on a different project. Often I write a blog post, and just the act of writing helps open the writing gates. It's like in life drawing classes: you send the first 30 minutes doing quick sketches, then the rest of the time, 2-3 hours, on a long pose.(less)

Like many of my writer friends, the semi isolation has affected my productivity. For months I couldn't write, and was unable to finish an almost complete novel draft.Yet I began and finished another, and have recently stepped into screenwriting.

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

“I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.”
Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets

“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don’t know any other way of loving.”
