It's finally here! Kinda. The title is, at least, and that's a start.
WHITE LINE FEVER, a story about four lifelong friends on a weekend getaway that goes very, very wrong, is coming in early 2025 from Tor Nightfire.

Glad you found and enjoyed it!! It's definitely something I'm still considering. I think it would be a lot of fun to meet up with these characters after a bit of time has passed in their lives, and open that world up beyond a single strip of beach :)
