I'm a writer, scholar, and teacher at the University of Texas at Austin who specializes in rhetoric, composition, and science/environmental writing. My work considers what the body holds that words struggle to encase.

As a first-generation college student from rural Louisiana, I never imagined that I would become a university professor. Now, I am in a position to challenge how academic institutions value certain ways of knowing and to create non-hierarchical systems that welcome diverse learners and thinkers.
