Growing up, Réka Kaponay was a world-schooler, travelling with her family to 50+ countries across 6 continents, and was taught by the cultures, languages and people she was privileged to meet.

Along one of their adventures, she discovered the enchantments of the South of Spain and on a bus ride past the rock of Gibraltar, the story of DAWN OF THE GUARDIAN was born. It was published as her debut novel when she was just 14.

Réka loves to read all sorts of stories, but especially fantasy, historical fiction, fable and folklore. She devours books daily. She can also be found frequently snacking on cucumber salad.

She is Chief Storyteller online at her travel blog DreamtimeTraveler.com and updates regularly at her instagram accounts: @dreamtimetra

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
Frank Herbert, Dune
