美國南加大英美文學博士，現為台灣師大英語系教授。
研究領域涵蓋後殖民論述、愛爾蘭文學、文化翻譯研究、兒童及青少年文學。講授「喬伊斯專題研究」，發表諸多相關論文，也出版過《貝登堡的足跡》、《生命殿堂：羅塞蒂的十四行詩集》和《喬伊斯的都柏林：喬學研究在台灣》等書。
