CEO of Winged~Women™ Business and Life Coaching, and award-winning, international best-selling author, Jan Deelstra has been leading the charge for empowering women since 1984. Merging the spiritual realm with psychology, Deelstra utilizes her background in social services, her personal experiences with unseen “miraculous forces,” her unquestionable intuitive gifts, her past traumas -which she now calls “blessings,” and her passion for writing transformational books and courses, to inspire women globally to emerge into their full-winged limitless potential. Deelstra says her life is her calling, and she empowers other women to own their life experiences –to transform those life experiences into paid callings to help others do the same….

I have more of a challenge of limiting my thoughts and ideas to a reasonable, manageable number. If I do ever need a dose of inspiration, I go to the ocean. The negative ions clear my head, and the effects of being in/with nature are consistently inspirational. If there's not a beach nearby, I go to the mountains, and if there are no beaches or mountains, I meditate.... Actually, I do meditate on a daily basis, and that truly is the well of inspiration that I tap into.(less)

With the exception of my poetry, and one fictional book (The Flying Game), all my books are non-fiction. Especially since we now have the Internet for sharing tweets and blurbs and posts and such, we can empower the masses within minutes and days with a well-crafted book release. Our message or story or whatever it is we wish to say and share, if immediately out there for others to read. And isn't that the reason we write?(less)

Labor Day

The sun's rays are making their way south, and the temperatures have dropped from triple digits into a lovely sixty-seven degrees to mid-eighties. It's lovely. Yet, it's also kind of sad to see the days grow shorter and darker in the Northern Hemisphere. Labor Day is the weekend when Americans squeeze in the last bits of summer fun, and acquiese to the change of seasons.

My favorite thing about writing is the same as my favorite thing about reading -- it allows me to escape into a completely different world.

The Giver is one of my favorite books!! It's brilliant.
I have always loved folk tales and fairy tales. They resonate for children and adults so I'm honored to hear my books read like fairy tales for adults!
I think I more imagine the world than see i See Alice’s answer.
