Beauty and the Beast Review
I don’t usually write movie reviews, but I couldn’t help myself on Beauty and the Beast.

From the small provincial French town to the majestic castle grounds, Beauty and the Beast is a masterpiece.
Beast’s Castle is stunning with its cursed, crumbling halls to the golden details of the Versaillesque ballroom. The Castle is the jewel of a French Kingdom. The intricate library, Beast's run down bedroom, the grand entrance with its majestic staircase, all sets were exquisite. It is a spectacular piece or art that is the background to this beautiful fairy tale, and it has its own story to tell.
The story itself comes to life with Kevin Kline’s Maurice, Ewan Mcgregor’s Lumiere, Ian McKellan as Cogsorth, the amazing Stanley Tucci as Maestro cadenza, and the lovely Emma Thompson as Mr’s Potts. They are each given their own story and traits that humanizes them. The animated version always felt like it needed something more...and these characters give it that special piece that’s missing. The small touch of Belle’s mother, the fact that these characters are both lonely and not accepted in society, fulfills the connection between Belle and Beast. Disney gave the story that hint of realism that made it more concrete, more believable. It was beautifully rendered.

There are actors that when they portray a character they become that character. Hugh Jackman is the Wolverine; Christopher Reeve is Superman, etc. And I must say that from his deep baritone voice, to his powerful physique, Luke Evans is a gorgeous rendition of Gaston. There’s been a lot of speculation on Josh Gad’s portrayal of Lefou, but I, on the other hand, enjoyed it. He was funny, at times absurd in his obsession with Gaston and an absolute delight just like all his characters.
Disney really hit it on the mark in casting Dan Stevens as the beloved Beast. His voice, his celestial eyes, his facial expressions make the Beast and our Prince come to life spectacularly.
They couldn’t have picked a better Belle than Emma Watson. She’s strong, independent, and beautiful. She is definitely the hero in this story. Although there was one strong point that made me miss the original, and that was her dress. As lovely and delicate as the gold leaf was, it missed the regality of the French ball gown and the golden gloves. I get the aspect of simplicity, but I was upset that something as special as the dress was just too simple in my eyes.

The musical soundtrack had its own magical quality. The childhood nostalgia is brought out in Tale as Old as Time and Be Our Guest, and Days in the Sun was a genuinely sweet touch. Yet in the midst of it all there’s a hidden gem. A song sung by the Beast, that portrays his powerful love for Belle. Evermore’s notes are full of sorrow and tenderness. Dan Steven’s voice offers a soulful regret not easily forgotten.
I know there is no convincing here, Beauty and the Beast is a must see. For those of us who are in love with love, who relate to Belle’s sense of adventure, or who have experienced Beast’s anguish, for those of us who seek to escape once in a while, this fairy tale will always be a favorite.

Levels of Dirty Talking
There’s the seductive suggestion, the sensual question and the masterfully spoken command and the dirty confession. So what level do you like?
I’ve noticed while reading several romances that some of my favorite authors have mastered the levels of dirty talking. Authors like Jade West have gone to intricate levels of BDSM that include that masterfully spoken command. While authors like Lauren Blakely, one of my favorites by the way, have mastered all three.
So as I’m currently writing my second novel in the Sunset Reads series, I have indulged in researching what makes dirty talking- panty melting hot. I asked myself, is it the control you seek over another, is it the forbidden details spoken aloud, why is it so sexually arousing to hear your partner whisper dirty little words in your ear while administering to your needs?
But there are ways of dirty talking that can be elegant, so to say, and others that are downright wrong and really dirty. Some authors I’ve noticed are raunchy and hard in their explanations of sex scenes, but others have a way of easing you in and teasing you as a reader. Those are the writers who know what it means to make dirty talking sexy.
The Seductive Suggestion
The suggestion of doing something naughty with the one you love can be just plain sexy. A sexual suggestion consists of the following: What do you want to do to that person? Where do you want to do it? And when would you like to do it- the answer being pretty much “immediately”.
What do you want to do to that person? “I’d love to know what you taste like.” A confession of how much you want to be with them. Where do you want to do it? “My place is ten minutes away.” Hmmm…a little far, but you might make it. When do you want to do it? “I’d love to bend you over that desk and take you right here and now.” Now, doesn’t that sound enticing?
The seductive suggestion is the first part of a series of dirty talking that will melt every loin in your body. This leads to my next topic…
The Sensual Question
What is the sensual question? I’ll tell you right now that asking the person you’re with whether they like it hard or fast is actually pretty important. Asking questions to your partner will not only issue moans of orgasmic proportions, but it shows that you are interested in pleasing them. Voicing your answers will edge your partner on about whether or not you like what they’re doing to you. Don’t be afraid to tell your partner, it will only make your sex better ladies…and gentlemen of course.
So what is a sensual question? Well it entails the following: Do you like it? How can he/she make it better? Are you willing to play again? Questions such as: “Have you thought about me while you touch yourself, does this make you feel good, and are you wet for me?” These pretty much encompass what you’d like to hear answers to.
The Masterful Command
There’s something so arousing about having a man tell you what he wants from you. That hot demanding tone that is both safe yet brings you to your knees. The key word here being safe folks. A woman should always feel safe in order to relinquish her body to the person she loves. Some people have mastered it, while others need to work on it. Grabbing a woman by the hair and telling her to “suck it” isn’t really attractive, but when you tell her to get down on her knees and how much you want to see her lips wrapped around you, it makes a huge difference.
Having a command in your voice can be exciting depending on your partner, that’s why it’s so important to ask those questions. The command can be harsh or it can be soft, the whole point is that in the end it will provide the pleasure you seek. It should culminate in that climax you both want.
The Dirty Confession
Confessing to the one you like, or love, how much you want them is hot. Plain and simple. A person wants to hear how much they’re wanted, how much they’re longed for. Believe it or not, it’s a turn on when a man tells you he’s been hard for you since he first saw you. It’s like giving away a secret and letting you in on it. If you think about it, when a man tells you this he’s weakening his stance for you, handing you the power to say yes or walk away. Of course gentlemen, this is best said in the throes of passion and not when you just meet a woman. At that point you just get pervy. But telling the woman you love that she still turns you on is hot. Ladies, confessing your wants and needs is exhilarating to your partner. Telling your partner how much you’ve thought about him all day or how much you need them is both exciting and arousing. You’re letting them know that you spend your day thinking of them, that you miss them in more ways than one.
I’ve learned a lot from reading new authors and the way their fantasy men talk to their women. I have to admit that as an author it’s sometimes hard to get the right feeling for which level to use. It becomes a push and pull between you and the characters. Should he say this, what would she do if he commanded this, would this character even like this. You pick up a glass of wine and you indulge in fantasies and when you’re done, you then tweak and tweak until you have exactly the scene your characters desire. As an author you have to find that finesse when writing naughty words. They can’t sound rough or ratchet, they have to elicit an emotional response whether it be yearning or longing. How can you make this provocative, enticing and make your characters as well as your readers falls into a world filled with passion. Yes, dirty talking is sexy, but I think the secret comes in the heart. Ask yourself, how much love do you have for that person to completely get lost in their words, in their body, in their soul?
It’s funny, but being a dirty talker is harder than it seems. You either have the gift or you don’t, but if you’re working on it then I hope these tips will help.

HOT NERDS
HOT NERDS
Okay, so I have to rant and rave about hot nerds. There’s something about the brains and brawns of a man that is just so damn appealing. I just finished reading Mister O by Lauren Blakely and Nick Hammer has inspired me to reminisce on all those insanely gorgeous geeks that we all love. Out of all the books I've read I must say this sexy cartoonist had my heart skyrocketing with quick palpitations. If you haven't read this one, it is one you don't want to miss out on. And ladies if you have any wonderful books featuring those wonderful hot nerds please do make your suggestions.
Let’s start with the Superman of all nerds himself, Henry Cavill. Did you know he speaks four languages! Somehow hearing him say anything in another language is insanely sexy! He went to the prestigious Stowe School in England, and has a passion for Egyptology, Greece and Ancient Rome. He is definitely #1 on my list of hot nerds.

Then we have our one and only Ashton Kutcher...he himself stated, “The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart.” And he should know since he’s probably one of the smartest investors in Hollywood. That’s one man who practices what he preaches. Of course we have our very own office nerd, John Krazinsky, who was a Theatre major in Brown University; his thesis was written as a full play. I wouldn’t mind working with salesman like John. These men have the whole package and they are only a few examples.

Now the hottest nerd that I have to share with you all is “the sexiest Dr. Alive”. Oh he is definitely real ladies. Dr. Mikhail Varshavski is all about spreading the message that life is all about helping others. A 25 year old Russian immigrant who is extremely smart and jaw dropping gorgeous! He says he wants to improve the communication between patients and their physicians and who wouldn’t want to communicate with him. Makes you want to head to New York City and check out those hospitals huh? Lol.

So why are nerds so hot? Is it because they know all the houses from Game of Thrones, or because they can do math in their head, or is it because they are well aware that wearing glasses is a super sexy fashion statement? It’s not just about the languages, or the IQ is it ladies? It’s all about the fact that you ultimately feel well taken care of and safe with an intelligent man by your side; a man who will undoubtedly represent you and has the neurons to read you as well. It’s incredibly sexy when I guy teaches you something authentic and they are passionate about it...whether in or out of bed. ;0) I read an article recently that stated that a man’s virility is directly connected to his intelligence - so it’s a fact, being smart is sexy! So now you know ladies, somewhere under those black rimmed glasses, your hot nerd may be in hiding.

Amazing Shows based on Book Series
I’m going to start this out by saying that very few shows are true to their book counterparts, but the next two that I’m about to mention are absolutely incredible.
Let’s start with Outlander, it’s currently on Season Two. I read these books like ten years ago and was completely in love with Diana Gabaldon’s series. I am far from being a time travel nut, but this story had me hooked from the first page. So obviously, when you already have a picture of what Jamie and Claire look like, it’s hard to picture someone else in their place. Same went for Twilight and 50 Shades. But I’ll tell you this, Outlander’s beautiful landscapes, and settings, the music and the wonderful acting make this show absolutely awesome! Then there’s Sam Heughan and his sexy as all hell Scottish accent...yummm. That’s one hell of a beautiful man. Caitriona Balfe as Claire is exactly how I pictured her, fiery and strong. The best part is that it goes perfectly with the books. So season one is based on Outlander, season two is based on Dragonfly in Amber, etc. Even if you haven’t read the books this is definitely a show you don’t want to miss.

So, Game of Thrones is currently on its sixth season and I honestly have no idea how I have avoided this great story arc for this long. Maybe it’s because fantasy worlds are not really my thing. Having said that, my brother is a huge fanatic and I had spent these last six seasons completely blind to what this show was about. All I knew of it was that winter was coming and something about the man who passes the sentence swings the sword. (Only cause my brother keeps telling me this, like I’m supposed to know what that means) Now, funny story, I was watching Parks & Recreation and Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott’s character) is obsessed with Game of Thrones, so much so that Amy Poehler’s character buys him a fake throne for their anniversary. That, plus the fact that he constantly quotes Game of Thrones throughout the show made me upset that I didn’t understand him, and then it made me want to watch the show. Go figure.
So, about two weeks ago I called my brother up, and he hooked me up with season one of Game of Thrones and I’m just going to say this...OMG!!!!! No, maybe that’s not enough to express how absolutely, irrevocably, unequivocally hooked I am to this show and its characters. George R. Martin is an absolute genius! I have laughed, cried, hated and loved these characters and I’m only on season one. Now, I do warn you I have a true fan seated at my side who tells me all the side notes of the book which I greatly appreciate since it solidifies what’s going on in the story. Nonetheless, even if you haven’t read the books, which I haven’t, this show will draw you in and keep you captivated episode after episode. It just keeps getting better and better.

So for those of you who haven't been captured by these stories thus far, I highly suggest you check them out. And for those of you who share my passion, you've probably fallen in love with Jamie, and you know full well what happens when winter arrives.

Jane Austen based Movies
I don't know about you, but I am completely obsessed with the 2005 Pride & Prejudice movie. I think I've seen it at least twenty times. Don't get me wrong, I still think Colin Firth is the best Mr. Darcy (there is no one quite like him), but there is something about Matthew Macfadyen's Darcy that pulls you in. His uncertainties and his unspoken emotions just holds you captivated.
So being that I love Pride& Prejudice and the Walking Dead, I finally gave in and read Pride & Prejudice & Zombies which turned out to be a really good read...and then I saw the movie (huge let down). I'm now afraid to watch Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter in fear of ruining the book. But I digress, back to Austen...so I have to say I am excited about the new movie coming out - "Love & Friendship" with Kate Beckinsale. I do hope it reaches Pride & Prejudice standards. Now enough of my ranting- for your enjoyment, here is the link to Love & Friendship: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3068194/

Music and Books
I was recently writing my second book in the Sunset Reads series and I realized a lot of my inspiration comes from music, so I wanted to share my favorite playlist with you all. These are songs that inspired me and may inspire you:
Breathe Me by Sia
Scars by James Bay
Fix You by Coldplay
Breathe Again by Sarah Bareilles
& my favorite is:
Stone by Alessia Clara
"So much on my mind, I think I think too much
Read between these lines, unspoken weight of words
But time comes to rest when you are by my side, it blurs
And I will follow where this takes me
And my tomorrows long to be unknown
When all is shaken, be my safety
In a world uncertain, say you'll be my stone"
