I was rather skeptical of the giveaway idea. My novel, the Dragontail Buttonhole was published in March 2016. Took me 8 years to write. It is fiction but based on family documents and photos which somehow got to the UK as WW2 started. My novel is Part 1 of a trilogy that follows a young Czech family that escapes from Nazi-occupied Prague. The DTB, as I call it, is definitely an exciting read and the second volume, nearly ready, takes place in France where the remnants of the Czech army tried to put itself back together again and fight with the French in 1940
My writing is also about family ties, how stress and circumstances change people and their relationships.
