Cole LeFavour is an award-winning journalist, fiction and creative non-fiction writer who writes about conscience from the wilds of Idaho.

With a degree in The Evolution of Cognition from U.C. Berkeley and an MFA in fiction from the University of Montana, Cole's stories and essays have appeared in “The North American Review,” Idaho Wilderness Considered and many other publications. In 2004, LeFavour became the first openly LGBTQ+ member of the Idaho Legislature, elected four times, serving as an Idaho State Senator, and leading multiple acts of civil disobedience at the State Capitol.
