Marcos was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but grew up in Houston, Texas. After college he worked in finance in New York for a couple of years before making the move out west to Los Angeles. Marcos started out writing for film and TV, and directing music videos and commercials. His film "Common Practice" was an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival. He went on to co-write and direct "And Soon The Darkness" for Studiocanal, a thriller starring Amber Heard, Odette Yustman, and Karl Urban. Though he has a number of feature and television projects in development, Marcos decided one day—after working on adapting other authors' novels into screenplays—that he wanted to write one himself.
