Fury’s Love
“My,” he said, his voice warm and tender, “have I found my Belle?” Her sniffles were replaced with silence. Travis steadied himself, ready for another attack of foul-mouthed anger. Instead, Belle buried her head in his chest and sobbed out her pain. Her hand rolled into a fist, clenching his shirt like she was holding on so she would not come apart. Travis wrapped his strong arms around her, kissed the top of her head, and whispered, “I got you, honey, hold on to me and let it all out. You’re safe in my arms.” He held her close, listening as her sobs turned to soft sniffles. “Belle?” he asked her as she quieted.
She tilted her head, red eyes gazing up at him. “Belle, you know you are my girl, don’t you?” “Yes, I am,” she whispered. Travis kissed her forehead. “You’re exhausted. Go to sleep, baby girl, I got you.”

Fury’s Love by Tess Matthews
Hi Everyone,
I’m back to writing after a four year break. Here is a snippet from my newest book, “Fury’s Love.”
“Under the Mistletoe”
When she was so full she could not possibly eat any more, she crept her gaze up at Levi.
He sat, arms folded, face rigid, and the muscles in his jaw flexed as he gritted his teeth.
Dread washed over her; she knew this would not be a pleasant conversation.
“You finished, young lady?”
Janie gulped and nodded her answer.
“Then follow me,” he said. “We have business to attend to in the parlor.”
Janie trailed after her husband, wondering why her body trembled a little at the sound of
his voice. She felt as if her being were trying to warn her of some unpleasant peril.
“Sit.” Levi pointed at the sofa, and Janie complied.

“Under the Mistletoe”
Levi touched his hand to her chin and gently moved her face to look him in the eye. She
was uncomfortable as he studied her face. Then his eyebrow went up, and Janie knew it was
over. He had found her out.
“Janie Dunn Atwood, I know what you are thinking, young lady!”
Janie folded her arms across her chest and scooted a few inches away from her husband.
“No, you don’t, Levi Atwood. No one can read a person’s mind.”
Levi reached for her and slid her back to his side. “Well, I can read yours, and you are
still planning on running away, aren’t you?”
Janie bit down on her lip and whipped her face toward Levi and glared. “I will do as I
please. I am a grown woman.”
Levi grabbed her and sat her on his lap. “You are my wife and you are staying here, and
if you do run, I’m gonna add to the spanking you are going to get for running away in the first
place.”
Janie froze. Her stomach flip-flopped, but she tried to remain unaffected.
“You most certainly will not, Levi Atwood.”
“We will see.”

“Under the Mistletoe”
If you are a girl and you fall in love with a boy you see only once a year, on Christmas Eve, for many years, do you marry him when you get older and he insists upon it? You do if you’re Janie Dunn and your only option is to remain under the thumb of a drunken and abusive father.
But the rash and impulsive marriage between Janie and Levi Atwood is hopelessly marred from the beginning. Janie disappears shortly after the ceremony, and the sheriff finds her father in their home, murdered with Janie’s knife.
But Levi refuses to give up hope, never believing either that she murdered her father or that she, herself, suffered the same fate. He keeps searching for years until he finds her. Then it is up to him to help her sort out the twisted web of intrigue that her life has become, and along the way to instill respect for him and for his hard hand and paddle on her bare bottom.
He also must prove to her how much he loves her, and how much he wants her to love him.
Publisher’s note – Under the Mistletoe contains depictions of adult spanking and sexual activity. If that subject matter offends you, please do not read this book.

New Release on Dec. 9th !
My newest release, “Under the Mistletoe”, will be available on Dec. 9th.
“Under the Mistletoe” is a novella set in 1880’s Alabama. I decided to do something a little different and deviated from my usual old west setting.
If you are a girl and you fall in love with a boy you see only once a year, on Christmas Eve, for many years, do you marry him when you get older and he insists upon it? You do if you’re Janie Dunn and your only option is to remain under the thumb of a drunken and abusive father.

“Cassidy’s Gentleman”
Hi Everyone,
I want to thank everyone for the positive feedback I am getting from “Cassidy’s Gentleman” Here is another snippet.
“Thorne took Cassidy’s plate and loaded it with mashed potatoes, peas, corn on the cob,
and chicken. He placed the plate in front of her and added a couple of biscuits.
Cassidy’s eyes widened when she saw the enormity of food he expected her to eat. Next
Thorne served himself and sat down.
“Shall we say grace?”
They bowed their heads and prayed. Cassidy almost felt guilty about what she planned to
do.
Cassidy crept her foot over to the chair next to her and scooted it away from the table,
leaving a wider avenue of escape. She watched as Thorne placed a fork full of food in his mouth.
“Eat, Cassidy.”
Shooting him another weak smile she took a bite of a biscuit.
“Good girl,” Thorne said as he turned his attention back to his plate.
Okay, Cassidy thought to herself, if you are going through with this you better do it now.
Cassidy scooped up a spoonful of warm, creamy mashed potatoes and looked at Thorne,
he was distracted by his meal. She used the spoon as a catapult. Splat. A glob of warm mashed
potatoes slapped his right cheek.
“What the—”
Splat! A second glob struck his forehead, spreading tentacles to his hair.
Cassidy cackled.
“Cassidy Hart, have you taken leave of your senses?”
Thorne mopped his face with his napkin, spreading the mashed potatoes till they covered
the side of his cheek and forehead.
Cassidy shrieked with laughter as the large man rose from his chair. Glad for an open
escape route, Cassidy sprang to her feet, flung a handful of peas at Thorne then made her
getaway.”
Note: Cassidy’s Gentleman includes sexual scenes and spankings. If you are offended by this content, please do not buy this book.
