Cevdet Acarsoy is a clinical psychologist and PhD candidate based in the Netherlands. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Middle East Technical University in Turkey, graduating with high honours. In 2018, he completed his master's degree (cum laude) in Clinical Psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands, where he was also awarded the Leiden Excellence Scholarship. During his master's program, Cevdet participated in various research projects using EEG and fMRI to understand the neuroscientific mechanisms behind psychological disorders and received training in therapeutic skills, clinical assessment, and cognitive behavioural interventions. Cevdet is also a science communicator and has co- founded a science communication platform named "Gelecek Bilimde" to connect academia and society. He is currently completing a PhD in Epidemiology at the Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam. Cevdet's background in psychology and epidemiology, as well as his passion for science communication, make him uniquely qualified to provide insight and guidance on issues related to psychological well-being.

Cevdet Acarsoy also has been interested in virtual aviation since 2006. Virtual aviation refers to the simulation of real-life aviation activities in a virtual environment. This can include simulating flight operations, air traffic control, and pilot training, among other things. He successfully completed training as a virtual pilot and virtual air traffic controller in IVAO (International Virtual Aviation Organization) and VATSIM (Virtual Air Traffic Simulation). Since 2011, Acarsoy has been teaching private lessons, virtual aviation and simulator-aided pilot training courses in various schools and universities and on the www.sanalhavacilik.net website.
