Nancy Kreml loves to wander around the world, but the place she knows best is the coast of South Carolina, where she kayaks, swims, and hangs out with friends and family. When she can't be there, she spends time in California and Chicago, and at home in Columbia, where she works with meditation groups in prisons. She's also found doing yoga, cooking and gardening, playing board games, and most of all reading and talking about what she's read. She started writing when she learned how to hold a pencil, and has been at it ever since, with works ranging from novels, short stories, and poetry to college textbooks. Another book in the Dead in the Water series should be available by 2017. ...more
