Code Thief

Code Thief

I think the revised Edition of Code Thief has been given a thumbs up by the majority of the new readers.
I worked on the character development, even though I was hoping that the characters would speak for themselves.
The book was always intended to be a dialogue-driven book. Where people would learn about the characters through what they say and do, and not through what the author tells them!
I improved on the technical aspects of the book. I kinda dumbed-down the first edition a good bit, so as to allow everyone to be able to read it.
I may have dumbed it down a bit too much. So, I underestimated the knowledge of the reader, which I rectified by going deep into technicalities in relation to the coding, virus and nuclear physics in the book. But, keeping it within the realms of understandability for the average Joe Soap!
The book was also edited by Robin Smith. This was done so that the book could be looked over by a true professional. There was a few issues with UK/Irish words and saying creeping into the dialogue. She sorted this out for me.
I honestly didn't have the money at the start to employ an editor.
I couldn't get a publisher to take the book on, so I self-published the book on Kindle/Amazon so I could generate the cash to afford to get her to edit it for me, which was money well spent.
Anyone who bought the original first edition on Kindle can still upgrade the book to the revised edition for no additional cost.
This was my first book ever.
I'm very proud of it.
I think it is a very good story and the characters are believable and easy to picture in your own head.
I'm currently working on a duology/trilogy. It's something completely different, but it's an incredible story.
I've also been working on the Screenplay for Code Thief.
I have a few ideas for a sequel to Code Thief. But that'll be down the road a bit.

Thanks for all the support,

Chat soon,

Justin
