There are twenty-eight stories in the collection, if memory serves, and I'd say triple that number ended up on the cutting-room floor. They deserved it. They were garbage.

The ideas came from everywhere. 'Decay' was the first story written for the collection, and it came from the song 'I'm Transmitting Tonight' by Tim Hecker. 'This Funeral Sucks' came from the phrase itself, and going to a ton of funerals that sucked in a stretch. One of the stories is very autobiographical, and I won't say which.

I think a lot of people get this question and it boils down less to 'where do you get your ideas?' than 'how do you get your ideas?'

A lot of the time, I wish I remembered. (less)

Drastically overachieves for an event tie-in volume. The Dazzler one-shot is also a boatload of fun.
