For adult reads, I'm waiting (impatiently!) for an ARC of Devin Murphy's The Boat Runner. And I plan to buy Monstress, Vol 2 and Brontez Purnell's Since I Laid My Burden Down when they come out next week. I met him at a recent Pride Panel and he is hilarious and amazing and I'm an official fangirl. There will be more books. The list is long.(less)

“Where she was headed, the cast iron skillet had been seasoned before she was born. Her”
Kelly J. Ford, Cottonmouths

“Watching her walk away, Emily felt as dirty as if she’d been watching porn. The craving came on like a fever, as if a coal had been stoked within and blurred the edges of reasonable thought. Rather than push it away, she sat on the floor and let the desire consume her. A”
Kelly J. Ford, Cottonmouths

“Then an ache no bigger than a marble pulsed inside Emily, an ache born in the woods across the creek. An ache that beat on inside her, steady, steadier, growing until her whole body shook. Jody”

“A friend said to me, “Hey you need to grow a pair. Grow a pair, Bro.” It’s when someone calls you weak, but they associate it with a lack of testicles. Which is weird, because testicles are the most sensitive things in the world. If you suddenly just grew a pair, you’d be a lot more vulnerable. If you want to be tough, you should lose a pair. If you want to be real tough, you should grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding.”
Sheng Wang

Steve Yarbrough

“There is no discovery without risk and what you risk reveals what you value.”
