About Me

Ketari Cole was born and raised on the South side of Chicago. She found her love for writing poetry after reading Gwendolyn Brooks and found her passion for writing after reading I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Dr. Maya Angelou. Both trailblazers play generous roles in her writing her first book Poetic Bars & Random Thoughts and now, Terror Town: Childhood Interrupted.

Writing this novel has been a dream of hers for many years. With this novel series, she hopes to start a conversation about generational curses, child rape as well as violence in her hometown and everywhere a voice needs to be heard.

Ketari Cole now resides in Atlanta, GA with her two children working as a Director of Finance.
