I know some people will sit down and create habits for writing, and if this works for you, then brilliant. For me, if nothing is flowing, I'll go do something else. Maybe play the drums, maybe make a picture. I'm lucky to approach writing as a hobby and as such, I have to enjoy the process. Therefore, I go with the flow. When the mood takes me, I'll go with that. If not, all good, time for walk!(less)

Sometimes the best ideas come to me when I'm walking along, and then looking back. Other times, I'll walk to the beach (I'm lucky to live within walking distance of the beautiful North Sea), sit down and have a good think. I like to bounce ideas around in my head, see which ones make sense or which ones sound interesting. After that, I'll see if I can turn those ideas into words and then into stories. After reading several short stories from John in various anthologies, I was eager to pick this book and get stuck in. Last night I finished the last story and so I thought it about time to give it the proper review it needs.
