HOLINESS PLACES A DEMAND FOR THE FEAR OF THE LORD

HOLINESS PLACES A DEMAND FOR THE FEAR OF THE LORD

The fear of the Lord is an integral part of growing into Holiness.

2 Corinthians 7:1 NKJV

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Holiness is not automatic — it must be perfected

PERFECTING HOLINESS IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD PERFECTING HOLINESS IN THE FEAR OF THE LORD

The environment in which holiness is perfected is the fear of GodHoliness demands reverence, obedience, and accountabilityThe fear of the LORD is presented as the means by which holiness is maintained

Leviticus 19:2 NKJV

(2)  “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

Because God is holy, those who belong to Him must respond with reverent fear, not casual familiarity.

Holiness is not sustained by grace abused, but by grace stewarded through the fear of the LORD. Where the fear of God is absent, holiness quickly erodes.

Leviticus 20:26 NKJV

“And you shall be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.”

Family of God, holiness is not first about behavior — it is about belonging.
God says, “I have separated you… that you should be Mine.”

Holiness is not isolation from people; it is separation unto God.

One of the elements that helps us to come to that place of separation is to walk in the fear of the Lord.

The fear of the LORD is not terror, but a deep reverence, awe, and wholehearted submission to God’s authority. It is a covenant posture of the heart that aligns a believer with God’s wisdom, protection, and blessing. Scripture consistently reveals that the fear of the LORD is foundational to a fruitful and victorious Christian life.

WHAT IS THE USE OF BEING A CHRISTIAN?

WHAT IS THE USE OF BEING A CHRISTIAN?

Have you ever in your walk as a Christian came to the place where you felt yourself making this statement.  You have tried everything that you could but nothing seems to work.  I believe that this is a valid question that needs to be asked not only from the perspective of being a Christian but also from the perspective of a non-believer.

You find yourself in the position that you have done everything that you believe God requires from you but still find yourself in debt, broken relationships and in a battle to survive from day to day.  Does this sound familiar to you?

Do you have friends, family and even your pastor telling to hang in there something will give way and things will change for the better and after another year of suffering you find yourself in the same place and nothing has changed.  You begin to question your salvation. You begin to wonder if this being Christian thing is really worth the effort.

Let me introduce you to my friend JOB.  I always find that if I think I have problems I just have to check out the life of my friend JOB.  Man he had everything…. Money, friends, family and everything that a man living in his time zone could desire.

Job 1:1-3 NKJV

(1)  There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.

(2)  And seven sons and three daughters were born to him.

(3)  Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.

He was the Bill Gates and the Warren Buffet of his time.   He knew not the end of his prosperity, yet there came a day that my dear friend Job lost it all.

Job 1:20-22 NKJV

(20)  Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped.

(21)  And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD.”

(22)  In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

God allowed the life of Job to be turned upside down.  God was testing the righteousness of Job.  It is easy to serve the Lord if you are blessed, when you face no challenges or hardship.  The challenge comes when your children looks at you and says daddy, mommy I am hungry and you can not give them anything, for God has not provided.  When those who are close to you are dying and as the “Christian” you expected to pray for them for you have the answers.  You pray and they die…..  What do you do? How do we respond when we are down and out in the midst of trails and tribulations?

To make it worst in Job 2 God now allows the body of Job to become diseased.  Would Job still remain righteous and not rebel against God?

Job 2:9-10 NKJV

(9)  Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

(10)  But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

Job did not sin even when he got sick and diseased.

Job 42:12

And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. [Job 1:3]

In the latter days of the life of Job we see that God has restored to Job more than what he has lost.

If we have to ask the question to Job…. WHAT’S THE USE OF BEING A CHRISTIAN?

Jobs response will be: “IT IS ALL WORTH IT.”

What is your response to this question?  Do you only serve God because of His blessings and provision?  Do you serve God for who and what He is?

If you are looking for a tool to assist you in breaking out of this place I highly recommend that you study my book called: “POSSESSING YOUR LAND”

Christianity in South Africa as well as over the world have become weak and powerless because we live our lives not from a relationship with Jesus but from within a religious mindset.

Another powerful resource that are available is OVERCOMING CARNALITY that is available at Amazon.

If the question whether it is worth following still surfaces in you in times of tribulation You have to check out your roots.  What is your motivation in serving and following Jesus?  Have you come yet to that place where you are the offering and the sacrifice in serving and living towards Him?

God bless you till next time.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT GOD NEEDS?

DO YOU KNOW WHAT GOD NEEDS?THE GREATEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE TOWARDS GOD IS YOURSELFGOD NEEDS YOU

I am sure that having read the question the uppermost thought in your mind is how is it possible that God is in need of something? When we engage the Lord in prayer we usually come with a shopping list of needs and things we want God to do for us.

Today I want to present to you another angle.  How about coming to God and ask the Lord, Father what is it that you need from me?  This change the whole dimension of your interaction with the Lord doesn’t it?

God’s need is for you and me to live towards God.  I am sure you are asking yourself what does this mean.  Allow me to explain.

Joh 1:1 NKJV

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

This translation of the word with is not accurately translated from the Greek.

G4314 – πρός – STRONGS

A strengthened form of a preposition of direction; forward to, that is, towards.  It denotes essentially the same applications, namely, motion towards, accession to, or nearness at.

Thus the correct translation of this scripture would be:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was towards God, and the Word was God.

Take a deep breath and meditate for a moment on the dimension of communication that is revealed between God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are living towards one another.

We see the same picture emerging in Genesis:

Gen 1:1-3 NKJV

(1)  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

(2)  The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

(3)  Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Looking at the process of creation we see that God spoke towards God.  Now where does this leave you and me?

We are all aware that we are indwelled by the Spirit of God.  We are also aware that man is a spirit being and can only express himself in the time and earth dimension through his body. Now our bodies are the temple, the abode of the Holy Spirit.

1Co 6:19 NKJV

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

God’s demand then and need is for you and me to start living life in the same way.  We need to start living towards the Christ is one another.  The Christ in me is then living and responding towards the Christ in you.  In this way we demonstrate Christ in the earth.

We need to change our mindsets.  If I serve you with a cup of coffee or give you a hug it is the Christ in me that is serving you with a cup of coffee and it is the Christ in me that is embracing the Christ in you.

God is attracted to God.  You have the ability to meet the need of God.  Will you meet that need?

In order to meet the need of God, you need to clothe yourself with the Spirit of Christ.  Your every response and action then is from the position where I respond towards God in all that I think and in all that I do.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STUDY “THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST SERIES”

It consists of 31 sessions bringing your to a place of deeper understanding of the Spirit of Christ.  You are also welcome to download the book of Andrew Murray on this subject.

BOOK DOWNLOAD: THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST

When we start to live  in this dimension we start to function accurately in the earth and we become vessels that can be effective in the Kingdom of God. We no longer focus and serve our own needs. Our only response is the need of God.

Study the life of Jesus. Everything he did, every miracle he performed had a purpose of ministry towards God.  Every action was purposed to advance the Kingdom of God.

The challenge we face is to start living the same life as Jesus did. Are you willing to pay that price?  It will cost you your life.

Mat 16:24 NKJV

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

FOLLOW JESUSFOLLOW JESUS

Jesus does not place the cross on you.  You need to take up the cross. This implies a conscious decision that we need to make.  We understand that the cross is the instrument of death.  Death to yourself. Death to your own desires and what you want.

Are you ready and prepared to live this lifestyle?  Christ in you has a desperate desire to touch God and to live towards God.  Will you be obedient and respond to the need of God?

OR

Do you choose to continue your life and even do ministry according to your plans and purposes.  Whose need are you responding to. Your needs or that of CHRIST?

NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE INVASION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THIS WORLD

KINGDOM INVASIONINVASION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE EARTHNOW IS THE TIME FOR THE INVASION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THIS WORLD

We currently live in a time zone where we are invaded by the systems of this world.  We are measured against the operating and governmental systems of our time. Humanism and Lawlessness is rampant in our nation.  Lawlessness has become the tool of the day to demand jobs, housing, services and salary increases.

Rev 19:1-2 YLT

(1)  And after these things I heard a great voice of a great multitude in the heaven, saying, `Alleluia! the salvation, and the glory, and the honour, and the power, is to the Lord our God;

(2)  because true and righteous are His judgments, because He did judge the great whore who did corrupt the earth in her whoredom, and He did avenge the blood of His servants at her hand;’

We as the Church, the Body of Christ, and the Bride have failed to establish the Kingdom of our Father in this country and in this nation.  The church has grown passive, sickly and weak.  The VOICE of the Master has become silent because his Corporate Son in the earth is not walking in authority and dominion.

THE TRUMPET IS SOUNDINGTHE TRUMPET CALL OF GODTHE TRUMPET CALL OF GOD

I hear the sound of rolling thunder in the Heavenlies.  I hear the voice of our Commander and Chief…. Shouting…. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.  He has released a demand and decreed all of the Sons of God to rise up and push back the barriers and strongholds of Babylon.  He is issuing a command to the Church at large…. ARISE CHURCH ARISE!

Rev 19:11-16 YLT

(11)  And I saw the heaven having been opened, and lo, a white horse, and he who is sitting upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness doth he judge and war,

(12)  and his eyes are as a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems–having a name written that no one hath known, except himself,

(13)  and he is arrayed with a garment covered with blood, and his name is called, The Word of God.

(14)  And the armies in the heaven were following him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen–white and pure;

(15)  and out of his mouth doth proceed a sharp sword, that with it he may smite the nations, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and he doth tread the press of the wine of the wrath and the anger of God the Almighty,

(16)  and he hath upon the garment and upon his thigh the name written, `King of kings, and Lord of lords.’

There is a demand being placed on the Church to invade earth and every opposing system that raises itself against the Lord our God with the Kingdom of God.

THE CALL TO INVADE

We are called to become the Change Agents of God in this world.

THE CALL OF GODTHE CALL OF GOD

How do we invade for God? We can no longer stand on some lonely hill and shout “Reformation” and “Repentance”, have all night prayer meetings for revival but never engage the systems of this world. We can not invade for God if we never come down from the mountain and get our hands dirty in the valleys of man.  We are to raise up a standard and live in honesty, integrity, righteousness, obedience to the Word of God, trustworthiness and consistently be accountable.  We are the salt of the earth and therefore have to bring the flavor of God to the community around us.  We are the light of the world and therefore must bring forth the wisdom and understanding of God for those around us.

We can use governmental prayer and declarations but after we have proclaimed it, there needs to be a building of some form of structure to bring about the manifestation of what was released and declared.

Stop seeing your city as a geographical area; in which you live and operate.  When we engage from God’s perspective, we come to a place of understanding that God does not only see geography, but God sees within that geographical area the jurisdiction of a city.

Let me ask you….  When you look at your city or the place where you live, do you just see a physical residential address or work address in the natural?

If that is your perception, you have an inaccurate mindset.  You need to understand that you are living at a specific address. In the spirit you govern over your domain for God and live successfully in the place that God has given to you?

God is in this time establishing the fourth pillar of Kingdom Culture – PRAYER!  When you release the prayers and declarations that God is activating in you through the Spirit, you are activating the invasion of that area of influence with the Kingdom of God in which you live.  This also applies to the market place in which you function.

We must understand that in the domain of the spirit we are kings, we must bring the ruler ship of God as His Ambassadors from the heavenly realm and enforce it upon territorial area where we live and work.

Some who are aware of the sound that is released in the Heavenlies and who are engaging in response to that sound have initiated a fractured attempt at the advance of God’s Kingdom in the Cities and even in the Nations. There is no divine recognition of another man of God standing in the same jurisdiction as what you are.  We do not recognize these men of God because they might not be of the same color, or they might be somebody that has only got a few people or who belongs to a denomination that we do not stand in agreement with.

God is in this time and moment establishing his Body in unity.  There is a call going forth from the throne room of God for brotherhood to be established.  The question we have to respond to is whether we are seeking out the rest of the brothers in the governmental areas or are we again playing as the Lone Ranger with his sidekick Tonto?

JESUS WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH

JESUS WILL BUILD HIS CHURCHCHRIST THE CORNERSTONECHRIST THE CORNERSTONE

Some time ago I was on my way back from Sasolburg after presenting a word school and also attending a meeting with a group of businessmen meditating what was shared and discussed when the Lord spoke to me and said “I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH”

My response was “Lord?” What is this all about?  The Lord then continued to share with my showing me how men try to build the church.  We try to build and establish what we call ministry and the church in the way we believe that God is directing and showing us.  Most of the time we only end up doing our own thing being blissfully unaware that the Glory of God has departed and that we are not probably building in the way of Jeroboam in stead of following the pattern that God has shown and revealed to us.

WE NEED TO DISCERN THE TRUE AND FALSE DIMENSION OF CHURCH

In our discussion today I want invite you on a journey as we unpack this statement that Jesus made.

Mat 16:16-19 AMP

(16)  Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

(17)  Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven.

(18)  And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros–a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra –a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].

(19)  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. [Isaiah 22:22]

This is such a well known portion of scripture and we tend to read quickly over it as we think that we understand what Jesus is saying.  As I was reading the Holy Spirit stopped me and started speaking to me.

The first thing that was highlighted to me was the statement that was made by Peter:

Mat 16:16 AMP

(16)  ……. You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

In the response of Jesus we can clearly see that Peter has tapped into the Holy Spirit and has received revelation of who and what Jesus is as the CHRIST the very SON of GOD.

In the continuing dialogue Jesus clearly indicated that HE will build HIS CHURCH on the rock of Peter’s confession and not on the man called Peter.

Peter’s name signified a stone, that which could be easily moved or held within one’s hand. Jesus would not build His church on mere men. Jesus will build upon a foundation that can not be moved. He will build on Peter’s confession. “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God“. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself will be the actual foundation for the church.

1Co 3:11 AMP

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Isa 28:16 AMP

Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he who believes (trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Stone) will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away [in sudden panic]. [Psalms 118:22; Matthew 21:42; Acts 4:11; Romans 9:33; Ephesians 2:20; 1 Peter 2:4-6]

Jesus make a very strong and clear statement at this time:

Mat 16:18 AMP

And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros–a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra –a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].

I want us to take a moment and look in depth at this sentence word for word:

First, this sentence discloses who will build the church. “I (Jesus) will build My church.” Jesus is the builder of the church, not you and me. He wants to use us in the process of the building of the church, but He is the builder.

Paul had a clear understanding of this concept:

1Co 3:10 AMP

According to the grace (the special endowment for my task) of God bestowed on me, like a skillful architect and master builder I laid [the] foundation, and now another [man] is building upon it. But let each [man] be careful how he builds upon it,

By the grace of God, Paul served the Lord. As he went about proclaiming Christ, the Lord was using him to lay the foundation of Christ in lives that were being saved and individual churches that were being planted through his ministry.

Jesus will be the one doing the work.  Our responsibility is only to obey and to give expression of what God wants to build and plant through us.

Jesus is the one building the church.

Second, This promise of Jesus reveals the certainty of His church being built. “I will (assuredly) build My church. ” There is no room for doubt. Jesus will do what He promised. The only question is whether or not we will be available as a part of this awesome process. God wants to make you and me usable for His work:

  2Ti 2:21 AMP

So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.

Third, this promise indicates the manner in which the Lord wants to work. “I will build (construct) My church.”

 G3618 – BUILD – oikodomeō_-_Thayer Definition:

1) to build a house, erect a building

1a) to build (up from the foundation)

In the construction of a building you build with both numbers and selected quality products. We see the same thing taking place as God builds his church. He will add to the church through those who draw great numbers…..

  Act 2:47 AMP

Constantly praising God and being in favor and goodwill with all the people; and the Lord kept adding [to their number] daily those who were being saved [from spiritual death].

….. but then He also builds through master builders that focus on quality in what is being built. The Lord also enriches those He saves, bringing to His church qualitative development.

  Act 4:33 AMP

And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace (loving-kindness and favor and goodwill) rested richly upon them all.

Fourth, His promise settles the issue of ownership. “I will build My (Jesus’) church.” The church does not belong to the Pastor, the Church Board, the District Office or even the spiritual father or set man. The ownership of the CHURCH is in the name of Jesus. He paid the price to redeem us:

  Act 20:28 AMP

Take care and be on guard for yourselves and the whole flock over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you bishops and guardians, to shepherd (tend and feed and guide) the church of the Lord or of God which He obtained for Himself [buying it and saving it for Himself] with His own blood.

Fifth, this promise specifies exactly what Jesus is going to build. “I will build My church (His people).” The church is not a building. This word (church) literally speaks of “a called out people.”

 G1577 – CHURCH – ekklēsia_-_Thayer Definition:

a gathering of citizens called outall who were called by and to Christ in the fellowship of His salvation, the church worldwide of all times, and only secondarily to an individual church

  1Pe 2:9-10 AMP

(9) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. [Exodus 19:5-6]

(10) Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you were unpitied, but now you are pitied and have received mercy. [Hosea 2:23]

LASTLY: The Mandate of the Church:

  Mat 16:19 AMP

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. [Isaiah 22:22]

The mandate of the church is to take what God has already declared in the Heavenlies and bring it into the earth. This would be that which is bound by the Father and that which is loosed by the Father.

Let us search our hearts and do a forensic audit on what we are building. Is what we build being built being built by the Lord or is it you and me that is doing the building. The WORD is quite clear on this matter…..

  1Pe 2:6-8 AMP

(6) For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (honored), precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] shall never be disappointed or put to shame. [Isaiah 28:16]

(7) To you then who believe (who adhere to, trust in, and rely on Him) is the preciousness; but for those who disbelieve [it is true], The [very] Stone which the builders rejected has become the main Cornerstone, [Psalms 118:22]

(8) And, a Stone that will cause stumbling and a Rock that will give [men] offense; they stumble because they disobey and disbelieve [God’s] Word, as those [who reject Him] were destined (appointed) to do.

  Heb 12:28 AMP

Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe;

I greatly encourage you to study the following book:

HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH

A THANKFUL HEART DEMONSTRATES CHRIST

A THANKFUL HEART DEMONSTRATES THE CHRIST-LIFE What Saying “Thank You” to those that serves you Reveals About the Heart

It is frequently noted that minor actions can provide significant insight into an individual’s character. One such gesture is the act of expressing appreciation, for instance by saying “thank you”—particularly to servers, service personnel, and individuals whose contributions may otherwise go unrecognized, such as domestic workers and retail cashiers.

In today’s fast-paced, transactional environment, demonstrating gratitude is both uncommon and important. Gratitude extends beyond etiquette; it reflects individual character. The manner in which we interact with those who are unable to offer us personal or professional advantages is a more accurate indicator of our values than our interactions with influential individuals.

Individuals who consistently express gratitude to servers often possess specific personal qualities that influence their lifestyle, leadership style, and interactions with others. These characteristics develop gradually, rooted in values, self-awareness, and a sense of humility.

HERE IS SEVEN CHARACTER TRAITS OFTEN REVEALED THROUGH THIS SIMPLE YET POWERFUL HABITTHANKFULLNESSThey Practice Genuine Empathy

Gratitude starts with truly noticing others. People who thank servers see the person beyond the uniform, appreciating that each meal delivered and every table tidied reflects someone’s hard work, time, and sense of self-worth. Their empathy isn’t limited or conditional—it comes effortlessly, rooted in their respect for people themselves rather than just results.

They Live With Awareness and Presence

Expressing “thank you” regularly shows that someone is mindful and engaged with others, rather than hurrying from one moment to the next. This act of recognition emphasizes awareness of what’s happening in the present. In today’s fast-paced world, presence has become rare, yet gratitude remains one of its most striking indicators.

Kindness Is Part of Their Identity

For certain individuals, kindness is dependent on specific circumstances, while for others it forms an integral part of their character. Individuals who consistently express gratitude do so intrinsically rather than out of external obligation or observation. Their demonstration of kindness is genuine and reflects deeply held values.

They Honour All Forms of Work

When people express gratitude to someone for doing their job well—particularly roles that are frequently overlooked—it shows genuine respect. Those who do this recognise that all honest work deserves dignity, valuing what someone contributes and the effort they put in over any job title or status.

They Are Secure Enough to Be Humble

Individuals with emotional security express gratitude readily. Offering thanks does not undermine their position; rather, it reinforces their sense of self. They recognise that acknowledging others enhances, rather than detracts from, their own value.

They Carry a Positive Spiritual and Emotional Atmosphere

People who show gratitude have the power to transform their surroundings. Offering a heartfelt “thank you” can lighten the mood, let someone know they matter, and reassure them that they are valued. Such genuine appreciation carries a subtle but profound influence.

They See Relationships, Not Transactions

Most significantly, those who consistently express gratitude tend to see life in terms of relationships. Whether situations are transactional or not, they opt to build connections. Such individuals recognize each exchange as a chance to honor our shared humanity rather than merely finish a job.

THANKSGIVING

Expressing “thank you” is simple but holds great significance. It demonstrates a grateful spirit, an attentive mind, and a life shaped by respect. In the Kingdom of God, small gestures are meaningful—our words and our treatment of others matter deeply. A quiet “thank you” offered to someone who might otherwise be unnoticed can reveal true character more than grand speeches ever could. Let’s remember the importance of gratitude and know that the way we treat people truly reflects who we are.

This is one of the ways through which we can in a practical manner demonstrate the Christ-life.

Grace and peace to you all.

The City Church Concept – Oneness vs. Unity and the Resistance of Church Leadership

THE CITY CHURCH CONCEPT – ONENESS VS. UNITY AND THE RESISTANCE OF CHURCH LEADERSHIPINTRODUCTION

The prayer of Jesus in John 17 reveals Heaven’s highest ecclesial priority: oneness. Yet, across cities and regions, the visible expression of the Church remains fractured, competitive, and siloed. While Scripture presents one Body in one city, modern Christianity has largely normalized denominationalism, ministerial isolation, and independent church empires.

This document provides an apologetic framework for the City Church concept, clarifies the biblical distinction between oneness and unity, and addresses the common excuses used by pastors and church leaders to resist embracing and actively participating in this Kingdom mandate.

THE CITY CHURCH CONCEPT: A BIBLICAL OVERVIEW

2.1 The Church in Scripture Is City-Based, Not Brand-Based

In the New Testament, the Church is consistently described as one Church in one city:

“The church of God which is at Corinth”

1 Corinthians 1:2 NKJV

(2)  To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

“To the church of the Thessalonians”

1 Thessalonians 1:1 NKJV

(1)  Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

“The churches of Galatia”

Galatians 1:2 NKJV

(2)  and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:

There is no biblical evidence of multiple competing churches within the same city operating as isolated entities. Rather, Scripture presents:

Plurality of leadershipDiversity of giftsSingularity of identity

The City Church is therefore not an organizational merger, but a spiritual reality requiring visible expression.

ONENESS VS. UNITY: A CRITICAL DISTINCTION

3.1 Unity Is Agreement; Oneness Is Shared Life

Unity is relational alignment without shared identity.
Oneness is covenantal participation in the same Body.

Unity allows independence.Oneness demands interdependence.

Jesus did not pray for unity alone:

John 17:21 NKJV

(21)  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

The Father and Son are not merely unified—they are indivisible in essence, purpose, authority, and glory. This is the model given to the Church.

3.2 Unity Can Exist Without Sacrifice; Oneness Cannot

Unity allows:

Cooperation without accountabilityFellowship without submissionEvents without shared governance

Oneness requires:

Shared responsibilityMutual submissionSacrificial relinquishing of autonomyThis is precisely why oneness is resisted.

WHY THE CITY CHURCH MATTERS THEOLOGICALLY

4.1 Oneness Is the Witness of Christ to the World

Jesus ties the credibility of the Gospel to oneness:

John 17:21 NKJV

(21)  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

Fragmentation weakens evangelistic authority. A divided Church presents a divided Christ.

4.2 Spiritual Authority Is Corporate, Not Independent

In Scripture:

Authority flows through alignmentPower flows through corporate obedienceGovernment flows through apostolic order

Isolation leads to:

Doctrinal driftSpiritual vulnerabilityLimited Kingdom impact
COMMON EXCUSES USED BY PASTORS AND LEADERS

Below are the most frequently cited objections—and their theological rebuttals.

Excuse 1: “We Are Already Unified in Spirit”

Reality: Spiritual unity without practical expression is disobedience.

Biblical oneness was:

Visible (Read Acts 2)Functional (shared resources, leadership, mission)Governed (apostles and elders)

Invisible unity without visible obedience is theological convenience.

Excuse 2: “Our Doctrine Is Different”

Reality: Diversity of doctrine did not prevent apostolic fellowship.

The early Church navigated:

Jewish and Gentile believersCultural and theological tensionsDifferent ministry emphases

Yet they maintained one Body under apostolic oversight.
Doctrine becomes an excuse when it masks fear of accountability.

Excuse 3: “We Don’t Want to Lose Our Identity”

Reality: Kingdom identity precedes ministry identity.

Paul never identified himself as:

“Leader of the Corinthian brand”“Founder of the Ephesian ministry”

He identified as:

A servant of ChristA steward of mysteriesA member of the Body

Fear of losing identity reveals ownership issues, not Kingdom sonship.

Excuse 4: “We’ve Been Hurt Before”

Reality: Wounds are healed in covenant, not isolation.

While abuse and manipulation must be addressed, Scripture never presents withdrawal from the Body as the solution. Healing comes through:

Proper spiritual fatheringRestored trustMature apostolic structures

Pain does not nullify obedience.

Excuse 5: “God Called Me to My Church”

Reality: God calls people to cities, not private empires.

Paul was called:

To regionsTo peoplesTo citiesLocal assignment does not equal independent ownership.
Calling is stewarded within the Body, not above it.

THE REAL ISSUE: CONTROL VS. COVENANT

At its core, resistance to the City Church is not theological—it is governmental.

Oneness requires:

Shared leadershipRelational accountabilityApostolic humilityMany leaders prefer unity without submission, because it preserves control while appearing spiritual.

A CALL TO REPENTANCE AND REFORMATIONThis book brings a challenge to every believer to become part of the solution of activeley pursuing the Church in the CityThe Call to Build the Church in the City

The City Church is not optional—it is eschatological.

As the Church moves toward maturity:

Apostolic alignment will increaseLone-ranger ministries will diminishKingdom structures will replace personality-driven systems

Ephesians 4:11-13 NKJV

(11)  And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

(12)  for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

(13)  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Maturity is corporate, not individual.

CONCLUSION

The City Church concept is not a threat to pastors—it is a restoration of biblical order.
Oneness is not the loss of ministry—it is the fulfilment of Christ’s prayer.

The excuses must fall.
The fear must be confronted.
The Church must rise as one Body in every city.

Only then will the world believe.

WHAT GOSPEL DO YOU BELIEVE IN? WHAT GOSPEL DO YOU BELIEVE IN?

DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION OF DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

Many have preached every gospel you can think of that there was to preach but not the gospel that Jesus preached.  Have we preached about what Jesus did but not what Jesus taught us to preach? We’ve preached the gospel of salvation, the gospel of prosperity, the gospel of healing and the gospel of faith, but we haven’t truly preached the gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus preached.

WHAT GOSPEL DO YOU BELIEVE IN?

The word “gospel” is the word evangelum and it means “good news”. When we see that word gospel “good news” in the New Testament, watching how Jesus use the word “gospel” we begin to discover that there is a gospel that has not been preached.

Mat 6:33 AMP

But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Jesus is telling the disciples to “seek first”, the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things, (everything the Gentiles seek, food, shelter, clothing, security) will be added to them.

True believers need to reverse the curse of religion, denominationalism, and doctrinal dogma, and the traditions of men that have made the Word of God “ineffective” and that have made us like the scribes and Pharisees.  In order for us to do this we must rediscover the gospel that Jesus preached and you must preach the same gospel to the nations of the world.

Mat 24:14 AMP

And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.

The preaching of the Kingdom is also preaching the message that signals the return of Jesus.  Now let’s look and re-discover the Kingdom message Jesus preached.

We live in a time where everything has been commercialized.  Unfortunately this tendency has now also come to the church and is widely practiced in the church at large.  Very few pastors and spiritual leaders are willing to recognize that they have been peddling the gospel of salvation rather than the gospel of the Kingdom of God.  Scripture is very clear with regards to preaching a false Gospel.

  Gal 1:8-9 KJV

(8)  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

(9)  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

The gospel of salvation that is being preached today is focused on winning souls for Jesus which sounds so spiritual.  The problem does not lie in winning souls for Jesus but rather in the message that is used to win these souls to Jesus.

I would like to present to you this short summary table explaining the difference between these gospels:

I greatly encourage you to study this topic in-depth. Full descriptions and information can be obtained in THE GOSPEL OF FEAR AND CONDEMNATION.

Its time to rediscover the Kingdom and return to preaching the gospel Jesus commanded us to preach.

When you preach and live the gospel of the Kingdom as Jesus preached and you live your life submitted to the Sovereign King allowing Him to “actively” reign in your life, then the provision of heaven is open to you and you will find yourself living according to God’s divine plan for man. You go from being orphans with a form of godliness, denying the power thereof, to being sons and daughters of the Most High King, operating according to the purpose for which God sent you into the earth.

YOU ARE AN AMBASSADOR

As a truly born again believer, as a son of God, you are an ambassador of the Kingdom of God.  Your mandate is to takeover territory, advancing the Kingdom of God as you preach, teach and demonstrate the Kingdom and His righteousness to the nations of the world.

2Co 5:17-20 AMP

(17)  Therefore if any person is [in grafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

(18)  But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].

(19)  It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but canceling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).

(20)  So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.

May you be blessed in beginning to rediscover the Kingdom of God, the central message Jesus preached. There is so much more, but thanks be to God that out of 6.7 billion people on the planet, God has chosen you and many others to discover, embrace and experience the Kingdom now.

I want to also encourage you to vissit my YOU TUBE CHANNEL where I have a playlist that deals with some of the FALSE DOCTRINES that

DOCTRINE OF DEVILS DOCTRINE OF DEVILS

are rampant in the Church today.

WARNING TO THE CHURCH

THE WARNING!WARNING TO THE CHURCHGOD’S WARNING TO THE CHURCH

Hosea 8:1-2 AMP

(1)  Set the trumpet to your lips! [The enemy] comes as a [great] vulture against the house of the Lord, because they have broken My covenant and transgressed against My law.

(2)  Then they will cry to Me, My God, we [of Israel] know You!

During this week the Lord has been expressing upon my heart daily, there is now coming a judgment upon the Church as the Body of Christ.  I am not one to give the enemy any platform so please bear with me as I try and explain the picture of what I believe God is revealing to the church at large.

THE TRUMPET SOUNDTHE TRUMPET CALL OF GOD TO THE CHURCH

Set the trumpet – The Lord here commands the prophet to publish, as by sound of a trumpet that which God will bring upon an apostate Israel. We know that Israel can be understood as being a picture of the church, as the Body of Christ.

The summons issues from Jehovah, and is addressed to the prophet, who is to blow the trumpet, as the herald of Jehovah, and give the people tidings of the approaching judgment.

Hosea 5:8 AMP

Blow the horn in Gibeah and the trumpet in Ramah [both lofty hills on Benjamin’s northern border]. Sound the alarm at Beth-aven: [the enemy is] behind you and after you, O Benjamin [be on your guard]!

JUDGMENT IS COMINGGOD’S JUDGMENT ON THE CHURCH IS COMING

Verse two gives the alarming message that judgment upon the house of God comes like an eagle that shoots down upon its prey with the rapidity of lightning.  Looking at Hos 5:8, this trumpet is to be sounded in Gebeah, Ramah and Beth-aven and to the tribe of Benjamin.

Gibeah:

A town allotted to Benjamin where the men of the city raped and killed a Levite’s concubine, and the city was practically destroyed because of the act. Hosea refers to this as an example of wickedness and a picture of the judgment of God on such behavior.

RAPE IN THE CHURCH

This is a picture of those in the church in leadership who rapes the bride of Christ for their own pleasure and gratification of their fleshly nature.

May God have mercy upon us. You can no longer be silent.  There is a cry going forth to return to our First Love.

Ramah:

VANITY IN THE CHURCHVANITY IN THE CHURCH

Ramah = “hill” – Speaks of a high place.  Pride and loftiness in the church

Beth-haven

BDB Definition: Beth-aven = “house of vanity”

Vanity can be translated to be in a house where the elements of pride, self-importance, conceit, arrogance, and egotism are present.  This speaks of Households and churches that have become houses of vanity. We are looking at these households where the pastor or father of the Household is being worshipped instead of God. More obedience is given to the pastor and the leadership in the church than what is given to God.  This is where we pride ourselves in our nice building, the number of people attending our church, the wonderful and gifted worship team that we have.  God is nowhere to be seen in this picture.

God’s instruction is to sound the trumpet. To announce His judgment that is now coming upon these churches.  He is allowing vultures to come into the church.

UNDERSTANDING THE SYMBOL OF THE VULTURE

Let us take a moment and look at the symbolic picture of a vulture as defined in scripture. I believe that God is addressing the church through the picture of a vulture in three dimensions:

CARNALITY

CARNALITY IN THE CHURCH

OVERCOMING CARNALITY OVERCOMING CARNALITY

The vulture represents demon spirits that are being sent to feed on the works of the flesh. Vultures feed on rotting flesh. God has brought the church to a time of purification and purging.  He is demanding a pure bride.  Those who have refused to deal with their flesh will soon find themselves prey to judgment through this vulture spirit. This is a very dangerous time to continue to operate in the flesh. God’s demand for us is to rule over the flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit

  Romans 8:13-14 AMP

(13)  For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.

(14)  For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Revelation 9:3-6 AMP

(3)  Then out of the smoke locusts came forth on the earth and such power was granted them as the power the earth’s scorpions have. [Exodus 10: 12-15]

(4)  They were told not to injure the herbage of the earth nor any green thing nor any tree, but only [to attack] such human beings as do not have the seal (mark) of God on their foreheads. [Ezekiel 9:4]

(5)  They were not permitted to kill them, but to torment (distress, vex) them for five months; and the pain caused them was like the torture of a scorpion when it stings a person.

(6)  And in those days people will seek death and will not find it; and they will yearn to die, but death evades and flees from them. [Job 3:21]

Revelation 9 issues a warning for those who do not have their minds (thoughts) sealed by the Spirit of God. Tormenting spirits will come to feed on carnal thoughts. This is a time in which the Spirit of the Lord is instructing us to take every thought captive.

  2 Corinthians 10:4-6 AMP

(4)  For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

(5)  [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

(6)  Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete.

Silencing of the Prophetic voice of the Word of the Lord

SILENCING THE PROPHETIC VOICE

There is an Egyptian goddess whose name is “Mut,” and she has the head of a turkey vulture. The turkey vulture is mute; it has no voice except to hiss and grunt. This vulture spirit has also been sent to silence the voice of the prophets. The eagle represents the prophetic, and the vulture represents the counterfeit, which opposes the prophetic voice. This spirit will cause some to speak by the flesh and call it the Spirit.

This same spirit will cause some to issue warnings to the prophets to be quiet because God isn’t speaking at this time. Clever plan, but it is flawed. If God is not speaking then there will be no hearing the word of the Lord. If God is speaking, then He has not told the prophets to be silent unless He tells an individual to hold a word for a later time. Nevertheless, this spirit will deceive some and cause them to stop positioning themselves to receive the word of the Lord. This vulture spirit is very dangerous, as it will try to create a famine of the true word of God and also bring forth words born of flesh and not Spirit.

Religiosity

RELIGIOSITY IN THE CHURCH RELIGIOSITY IN THE CHURCH

The vulture will cause the carnal church to rise up against the true, spiritual church. This is the same kind of spirit that caused the chief priests and elders to demand the death of Jesus. Civil war in the church is about to begin, and a great carnage is about to take place. We have come to a time and moment in the church where truth and mixture are at war.

The time has come for the true church of God to emerge. No longer can inaccuracies and a watering down of the unadulterated word of God be allowed to be influenced by humanism, carnality and sentimentalism.

DOCTRINE OF DEVILS DOCTRINE OF DEVILS

These are perilous times in which the deeds of the flesh must be put to death, a time in which we must live and walk by the power of the Holy Spirit firmly founded on the foundation of the Word of God.  We have to keep our lamps trimmed and full of oil. We are called to be eagles, and I believe that the vulture is no match for the eagle. It is time for God’s eagles to rise up and destroy the vultures that has entered the church under the pretense of being eagles.

Exodus 19:4-6 AMP

(4)  You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.

(5)  Now therefore, if you will obey My voice in truth and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own peculiar possession and treasure from among and above all peoples; for all the earth is Mine.

(6)  And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests, a holy nation [consecrated, set apart to the worship of God]. These are the words you shall speak to the Israelites.

CALL TO REPENTANCECALL TO THE REPENTANCECALL TO REPENTANCE

Let us humble ourselves at this time and seek the FACE of GOD and repent in order for CHRIST to appear. Let us take hands in this process and we seek to allow the Spirit of God to prepare a pure and unblemished bride.

Grace and peace to you till next time.

WHOSE FOOL ARE YOU? A CHRISTMAS CRITIQUE!

WHO’S FOOL ARE YOU?  A CHRISTMAS CRITIQUE!

Pro 26:11

As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly.

PROVERBS 26:11

It is this time of the year again where the whole world is celebrating in the festive season Christmas in repeating the same folly over and over again.  There is a wide divide between Christians and even non-Christians as to whether we should be celebrating this day.  Every side presents good arguments for and against the concept of Christmas, the Christmas tree and everything that goes with this feast.  There is culture and traditions in all the different nations in the celebration of Christmas.

I understand that we need to take all of this into consideration and also understand that each and every person has the right to his own opinion and conviction of heart in terms of the interpretation of scripture around Christmas and the way we celebrate Christmas or not.

Those of our readers that have followed my articles over the years will remember that I personally take a strong stand against the celebration of Christmas as well as the lack of accurate scriptural support.  However this is a very sentimental issue for most people.  Allow me today to make some reflections upon this event.

Why would we celebrate Christmas being the birth of Christ?  Should we not rather celebrate His resurrection and the crucifixion where He made the most powerful declaration …. IT IS FINISHED.  Are we not allowing sentiment to draw our focus to little baby Jesus in stead of celebrating Christ as the risen LORD? He is the Lord of lords, the King of Kings, seated at the right hand of the Father?  Is this not just sentiment?

IS THERE ANY SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT FOR CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF CHRIST?

If we study the symbolic aspects of the seven different feasts we find that there is not one that aligns to the concept of the birth of Christ.  If God in all of His wisdom did not see fit to celebrate Christ as the baby why on earth have man instituted this event? We have the feast of Passover around the crucifixion of the Lamb. Even the times of the crucifixion and the times for the slaughter of the lamb correspond in detail, how come there is nothing that God orchestrated in the feasts to celebrate the birth of Christ?

Let us take a moment and then also look at who is truly benefiting from this celebration.  Mostly businesses and the cell phone companies are making huge profits over this time as gifts are being bought and sms messages are flying around like crazy.  People respond to every message and gift that they receive.  It becomes a vicious circle of spending and spending and spending.

RELIGIOUS CONSUMERISM

Look a moment at the realities.  Many people in their efforts of staying on par with the rest of the family and friends now partake in this buying frenzy.  Credit cards are being maxed out, personal loans are being taken out all for this deception called the Christmas spirit. Again the world system is laughing with joy as they see their profits grow over this time.

CHRISTMAS IS A MONEY RACKET FOR BUSINESSES

Two weeks later all the gifts, food etc is spent and you keep on paying for the rest of the year for your foolishness and insanity in the race to keep up with the rest of the world.  Are we not fools in allowing ourselves to be fleeced in this way?

I would rather choose to be called a fool for Jesus than to see the Babylonian system filling its pockets with Kingdom resources because of sentiment.  What a waste.

If you really want to celebrate Jesus why not rather respond to the commission of Jesus to go out and make disciples? Why waste Kingdom resources on something that has no eternal value in the Kingdom of God.  Why not rather use all of this energy to advance and invade with the Kingdom of God.

Have the glitter of this world and the world system blinded us so that we are no longer to see and realized that we are being fleeced?

To my Samaritan friends I hear the outcry of indignation as many orphans and widows and those who are less fortunate and the poor who are suffering is being blessed with food and gifts in this time and surely they say that is a good thing.

TOXIC CHARITY

Again my question is… Who are you fooling?  Maybe it is only your own guilty conscience perhaps?  If you really have a burden for these groups of people why are you not actively involved on a daily basis in changing their destiny?  I know you can not help everyone but surely you can take care of one can’t you or get together with this family of you celebrating Christmas and really make a difference in one or two peoples lives that are permanent and not only a feast for a moment.

If you really want to demonstrate and manifest the Spirit of Christ something needs to change.  Wherever Christ encountered someone that person’s life was changed for good.  How about you and me?  Can we say the same?

Whose fool are you going to be in this December 2025 festive season?  Are you going to keep on supporting the Babylonian System or are you going to take a real stand for Jesus and celebrate Christ in the way he demonstrated Christ life to us while He walked the face of the earth.

OR

Are you going to continue to be a fool of your own soul dimension.  Moved with sentiment and responding to sentiment in stead of taking a stand and aligning yourself with the true Spirit of Christ?

Who’s fool are you?
