From 2011-2017, Elizabeth Hall Magill maintained a feminist blog, Yo Mama, and published feminist articles on the news site .Mic, in Role Reboot magazine, and in the anthology Whatever Works: Feminists of Faith Speak. She wrote and published Defining Sexism in the U.S. and Sexism and U.S. History in 2016. In May of 2022, she will complete her MFA in Writing with a Concentration in Fiction from Spalding University, where she has been awarded the Emerging Writer Scholarship, the J. Terry Price Scholarship, the MFA Alumni Endowed Scholarship, and the Mann-Driskell Scholarship. Her fiction has appeared in Limestone.
