She has authored fantasy fiction novels under a pseudonym since 1971.
With the launch of her 2024 novel, A Brush With Mortality, Caryl is offering her first work of fiction under her own name. This is also her first work in the genre of psychological suspense mystery.
Her current WIP is the first in an urban fantasy series focusing on three generations of Sicilian witches in New England.

Her personal interests have to do with children, family, animals, health, agricultural sustainability, and higher levels of conscious living. She is herself a single parent of a now amazing adult son, and has been challenged by several serious illnesses. Caryl discovered through these experiences that there are ways of viewing reality that are more productive and evolved than others. In her role as a Pantheist Minister, Caryl approaches everything as containing divinity.
She has degrees in landscaping, psychology, visual arts, and mythology. She particularly loves exploring ritual based oral traditions, dragons, witchcraft, and steampunk.

Caryl, a certified strategic life coach specialized in Emotional Intelligence, and a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Practitioner (MSc), transforming dysfunctional emotions and behaviors to produce happier more fulfilling daily outcomes. Through her practice DogWatch Navigation. https://www.facebook.com/dogwatchnavi...
Caryl has three programs specifically designed for writers. The clients with whom she has worked have become successful published authors, have been finalists in the BookLife Award, and have been accepted to prestigious writers' programs. This isn't generic feedback, but rather it's the coaching and the craft that gets books finished and published. Visit Https://www.thenovelinside.com to learn more.

Quotes by Caryl Hallberg (?)

“Birth, life, death. We think it is linear, but it is not. We think it is a circle but in truth, there are no lines to make a shape. There are no borders without lines. We do not travel a path from here to there. We are always on the path. It goes nowhere. It comes from nowhere. It is nowhere.”
― Caryl Hallberg, A Brush With Mortality

“I happen to believe that each person that comes into our life is someone the universe has given us because we have a lesson to learn from that person. It may be only for a moment or maybe a short while or it may be for a lifetime but there they are, until we learn the lesson they have to teach us.”
