I'm a psychological sacrificial anode. I'm the patron saint for people whose doctors say, "Huh. I've never seen that before." My wife says I give good massages.

I wrote a book called How To Be Happy No Matter How You Feel, which contains more scientific references than any other book of its kind. (Feel free to challenge me on that if you know differently).

My hope is that my experiences and research will help others to live happier lives.

Usually, if I'm not inspired to write creatively, my mind is geared up for a good round of editing. And vice versa. I also have mental tactics that I use to get the creative juices flowing. You have to get your mind into a state of flow. Things like going for a walk in nature or doing a bit of exercise can help get past the block.

Also, you need to have something to say and you need to believe in what you're saying. Without that you're just asking for writer's block, or writing that sounds like a cagey politician's speech. (less)
