Descent ch 6

After everyone was given their tea the three of them retreated to the living room, Weiz and Mercer claimed the couch while Mircalla sat in the lazy-boy adjacent from them. The twins were talking about Mercer’s recent hunt and laughing when Weiz started thinking about how to remind Mercer that they still needed to invite Mircalla to dinner in a few hours. Even as she completed the thought she was shocked to hear Mercer cut off mid-sentence and gasp.
“Oh Mircalla...

Descent ch 5
Photo by 五玄土 ORIENTO on UnsplashThere were few things that shocked the Thorn twins. Mercer had a tendency to attract trouble ever since they were little and Mircalla, well, Mircalla attracted her own personal brand of trouble that Mercer learned to deal with early on in their childhood. So, Mercer can honestly say that she wasn’t surprised when her sister answered the door, took one look at the hand she was holding in a death grip and gr...

Descent
Photo by Annie Spratt on UnsplashIf anyone would have told me that I would meet my soulmate in an elevator, I would have laughed in their face. Me, a pureblood, but not just any pureblood. No, not just any. I’m from one of the three ancient families. I’m from the family known as the, “Purest of the Pure”, and for me to meet my forever in a mundane place such as an elevator? I’d scoff in that person’s face and walk away. But alas, f...

Pack Mentality Teaser
Photo by Christa Grover on UnsplashSilvia was many things, patient was not one of them.
“I told you to sit down!” Silvia growled and Jezebel smirked.
The two women faced off in the kitchen, a mess of broken porcelain and tea staining the tiles between them.
“And I told you, I can clean up this mess.” Jezebel bent down but Silvia reached out and gripped her hand halting her movements once again.
“Jezebel — ”
Jezebel frowned. “I told you to call me Jazz.”
Silvia ignored her. “I broke it s...
Feeders & Bleeders
Photo by Thanh Vu on UnsplashIt sucked entering a new school in the middle of the year. What sucked even worse was entering your senior year of high school in the middle of the second semester. Setsuna Yuunagi couldn’t agree more as she stood in front of her homeroom with a permanent blush staining her cheeks.
“My name…my name is Yuunagi Setsuna. Um, douzo yoroshiku, um, I mean nice to, uh, meet you.” She gave a low bow as her face burned.
A boy in the back...

Photo by José Martín Ramírez C on UnsplashSometimes, I felt like I drew the short straw in the game of life. It’s especially so, on days like today, when I felt like nothing else could possibly go wrong. Then, it does.
The elevator doors closed in my face. The problem was that I wasn’t on the elevator. No, I was standing in front of it with my cream colored blouse untucked, a wrinkled gray skirt, all while holding one broken heel in one hand, and my brie...
Soul Awakened
Photo by Changbok Ko on UnsplashSnow Bennett shuffled from foot to foot, settling on her left, and adjusted her backpack. The books for her Werebeast History and Interspecies Communications, weighed a ton, not to mention cost her a pretty penny. Luckily, her mother sent her some money for her college books as a graduation gift. The brunette sighed and pushed open the door, entering the classroom. She was excited for her freshman year at Monster State University, b...
Pack Mentality
Photo by Eva Blue on UnsplashThey say that blood is thicker than water. Gwen was never a fan of this kind of thought. Her only family was found family and she was very happy with that. If blood was so thick, why had her blood abandoned her? While her found family raised her up and supported her, while her found family needed her and gave as much as they took, gave her purpose, her blood family just left without so much as a goodbye. So, if blood was thicker than wate...

Blood Bound
Chapter 2
Photo by David Travis on UnsplashSnow was mystified and intrigued by her homeroom teacher, Ms. Fallon. The woman didn’t look a day over twenty, but she held herself with such confidence that it commanded the attention of everyone in the room. She seemed like a nice woman, though. When Ms. Fallon had spoken to her earlier, it was done in a familiar way, almost as if she knew her. Snow was sure she had never met her homeroom teacher before today. The woman really was a mystery. Her man...
Blood Bound
Photo by Feliphe Schiarolli on UnsplashCait Fallon, Ms. Fallon to her students, paused before opening the door to her classroom and turned to the transfer student behind her. The girl’s name was Snow Bennett, and like most of the students in her grade, she had just turned eighteen. Cait couldn’t help but stare at the girl. She had grown so much. The redhead could still remember seeing Snow when she was still in diapers, but even though she knew of Snow, the b...
