Born in Glasgow, Scotland, I immigrated to San Francisco with my family in the mid-1950s and settled in Eureka Valley (a historic neighborhood now known as The Castro).

My novels are set during the transformative 1960s, capturing a unique time and place that altered the course of San Francisco and the world. Bringing this vibrant era to life was an incredible journey back to deeply fond, yet occasionally difficult, memories.

Beyond fiction, my career spans decades as an author, teacher, and psyc

SCOTLAND SOCCER-PASSION and PARTY! SKYE IN JUNE

June Ahern I treasure reviews by "real readers". When authors wants a review to place in their book they ask other authors or professional reviewers. I like actual book lovers' reviews. I have a great one from a Goodread reader right on the opening page of my website. I plan to include a review by a reader in my new to be released novel. Who's up for a PDF before release?
