Once I found my way out of that (which still feels like a miracle, many years later), I began working to help others who are stuck as I had been, and I’ve now spent well over a decade at that. All along, I kept trying to figure out why this happens to so many of us when we really, really don’t want it to. When the brain science fell into place for me, it suddenly made sense.
