There have been all kinds of wild stories about it over the years, mostly from American and British sources that don't fully understand what the scene was like in Toronto then, or how things transpired to for Keith to get off the charges.
Keith himself glossed over it in his book Life, as have most Rolling Stones biographers. So I wanted to get the facts from people in Toronto who were directly involved, and I feel like I did that, as well as telling the story in an interesting way from my own perspective as a fan. I realize the world doesn't need another Rolling Stones book, but I think this one offers a lot of new information that most Stones fans will find enlightening.(less)
