Sometimes writer's block is a machination of trying to get a literary square peg into a round hole, even if you don't realize it. Just because you imagine something going a certain direction doesn't mean it will organically flow that way. You might be surprised at the avenues that are opened up when you allow yourself to envision different outcomes and divergent paths. Stories take on their own life and breath, and sometimes they want to write their own destiny.(less)
