Student Volunteer and Internships Available 2019!

Alright Homeschool mommas and parents of school-aged children, it’s time to start planning for the summer! Solomon is patiently awaiting his emails to see if he has been accepted into two internship opportunities. As I am a business owner, I have made a decision to also offer volunteer and internship opportunities for students who may want to gain valuable communication and digital skills on the author side of the business world.

For all middle, high, and college students looking for summer volunteer and internships this summer, check out the flexible, all digital opportunity with Monarch Educational Services, L.L.C., my Christian-based business that supports authors. This summer the publicity plan will work on all stages of the release of the YA release of Sweet Potato Jones.

Next summer, more author opportunities will be available in Children’s Literature, YA, and Adult Clean Fiction.

Email me at monarcheducationalservices@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more about this wonderful educational opportunity.

I also created a YouTube video describing the application process.

Blessings,

Jen

Only Shells – Original Poetry and Family Challenge

Only Shells

Mermaid fingernails are meant to be found

by sand drenched children who craft stories on the wind

The kind of slappin’ wind that drips hair in the mouth

And stops sentences from forming on lips

So, half the story is told as they bend to collect wonders that are only washed up thin shells

A magic happens that can not be deciphered or revealed

With bated breath I witness a storyteller being born

Poem dedicated to my niece, Jessica

After submitting for a 50 word microfiction challenge yesterday, I could not keep the story from morphing into a poem. It is National Poetry Month and the challenge is on! If you count the words of this poem you will see it is not 50 … it started out as such. Now, at 73 words, my poem is complete and makes perfect sense to me.

It is a captured memory of my niece, Jessica, and I on a vacation day at Murrell’s Inlet, South Caorlina … Huntington Beach State Park … one of my favorite places to be in the world.

With great excitement, she showed me mermaid fingernails for the first time. Solomon and Rachel were on a wild frenzy to collect them. She was pregnant with Pay at the time and looking back, wow, she was about to go any minute! What was I thinking planning a trip two hours away from the hospital?

As I looked at shells, she talked of fingernails and I knew that her imagination as an adult would be passed to her children because she would tell tales of magic and wonder. And I knew that a storyteller would be born. Either her … or Rachel … or Pay … or Chance … and our fishing of words and plot would somehow continue down the line all by collecting mermaid fingernails.

Will you accept the challenge?

Hold a family poetry slam for National Poetry Month.Hold a spoken word event at your next get together.Write a poem from a special memory and dedicate it to someone you love.

Love ya’ll

Jen

FREE BIBLE DEVOTIONAL EBOOKS TODAY! #1 Amazon Best Seller

[image error]Happy Renewal Year by Dr. Jennifer Ikner Lowry

When I woke up today, I had no clue what it would bring. All I knew was that prayers were on my lips for a fresh outpouring, strength to make it through, and the ability to inspire someone out there. As soon as I hit the car, I started to pray again. I just kept repeating, “Help me, Jesus.” That was enough. He knew all of the fill in the blanks.

When I pulled up my computer to begin my day, way before bells and constant knockings for support, I checked Amazon. Yesterday, I made all of my Bible devotionals free for April 2 – 3rd for Momma’s birthday celebration in Heaven to honor her! And I was the one that received the gift…I bet you she is the one smiling the most!

Happy Renewal Year is #1 on Amazon.

Yes, I screenshot it. Yes, I tried to call my husband but he didn’t pick up so he doesn’t know the news yet. The boys are still sleeping (it is 7 am) but I can’t wait to tell them later. Yes, I praised the Lord above for His blessings. Yes, I wanted to cry because that meant more people would get the challenge devotional in their hand today more than ever. Yes, I wanted to shout because that meant that lives could be inspired.

If you haven’t checked out any of my Bible devotionals on Amazon, I have four sitting in the top ten right now just waiting for you to hit CLICK!

Find me on Amazon – Dr. Jennifer Ikner Lowry and grab your copies today! Share it out with your little world, and take the challenges with families, friends, church members, and coworkers!

I dare you!

Blessings,

Dr. Jennifer Ikner Lowry

Original Song – Unbreakable

From 5 years ago today – a memory – This song was inspired after a great talk with my best friend tonight love you Tonya Newberry let us continue to all pray for those who don’t know Jesus –

No matter how alone I feel

I never am

No matter how the devil tries to steal

God always has my hand

Joy and peaceful reassurance

Lift me up when I am in need

And all it took was my belief

Unbreakable spirit

I can not be moved

The breath of God

Reveals us all

Why do men still search for proof

Rest in Him

You can not fail

For he placed it all on nails

Unbreakable spirit

Set the wicked straight on paths

Let your light be revealed

Remove the blindfold off their eyes

To see your mighty works

Because it started with creation

And a saviors birth

And it lives within the spirit of every man you place upon this earth

Unbreakable spirit

I can not be moved

The breath of God reveals us all

Why do men still search for proof

Rest in Him

You can not fail

For he placed it all on nails

Unbreakable spirit

Prayers for all those with unbelief

Prayers for every soul

To reach their own conviction

That God moves within our soul

Calling out to every man

Do not deny

Prayers for you to

To lift his name on high

Unbreakable spirit
