From the age of 8, Lisa knew she wanted to become an author. She wrote stories and skits to share with neighborhood friends. Today Lisa is a professional author with more than 27 published books and over 1000 published articles plus numerous book reviews and columns. Her children's titles are mostly nonfiction because she views her writing as teaching one reader at a time.

Lisa grew up in Michigan but now lives in Florida. As a child, when she wasn't reading, she spent time skating, swimming, and engaged in other outdoor activities such as camping, boating, and hiking. She now combines these interests with photography in the creative writing workshops she teaches for children. These students inspire her to continue writing.

Secrets Abound for Suspenseful Reading

Secret Sisters by Jane Ann Krentz is a blend of mystery/suspense and relationship romance. I don't normally read this type of book but I received a copy of this book from ALA and the author is now on my "read all her books" list. This title goes on sale in December (according to the cover of my ARC copy).
