“These Are a Few of my Favorite Things: 5 of my favorite novels I’d recommend in a heartbeat.

Slammerkin by Emma Donoghue.

This novel is my all time favorite for many reasons. It’s got everything I look for in a novel! Sex, murder, intrigue… it’s not a happy story,  then again I love to read and write unhappy things.

Our main character, Mary is not likable and that’s what I love about her. She’s constantly messing up even when she has a light at the end of the tunnel and a chance to redeem herself. Mary is so young when the events of the novel take place and one could attribute her t...

Well, I’ve finished it! The first draft that is so yes a long way to go still. I’ll be editing for the next month or so and finalizing the story. All 400 pages of Anna and the plantation. We have some old characters as well as new.

Cover and title coming soon as well as a Goodreads page.

Blurb so far:

When a ghost from Anna’s past with ties to England pays her a visit, the perfect world which she has found comes crashing down. As she struggles to come to terms with her new reality, problems...

I have had many people ask me when I am releasing the prequel to She’s Only Seventeen. Honestly, I have worked on it some and it’s about 99% finished but I’m just working on the extra push to finish it up.

As with its sequel, Just a Small Town Girl will feature controversial subjects such as heavy drug use and sex. Whe...

“The Deep and Timeless Sea” A lifelong obsession with the ocean and all things to do with it.

While writing The King’s Secret Daughter I debated heavily on the role of the ocean and Jack Smith. At first, I thought to do the two as two separate stories but then Part Two was born. I wanted my readers to understand that the American Revolution was fought on both land and sea and that the battles on the water were just as important and strategically rough as those on land. The role that Jack Smith and the...

In my novel She’s Only Seventeen, Kat Crowne is loved by two very different men. Who rule her choices throughout the novel. Although she dates others and cares for them, only Shane and Thomas are the ones who make the largest mark. In this segment, we will discuss and analyze the differences and similarities between the two men an...

Women’s roles have changed greatly since the time of Anna and the American Revolution. No longer in the United States nor Great Britain is a woman ruled by her husband. Here we explore the prominent women featured within The King’s Secret Daughter

Our first and foremost character is of course Anna. She’s a rebel at heart who, although tries to remain faithful at first to king and country, follows her heart. She...

The Men of “The King’s Secret Daughter”

*Spoilers*

Within my novel, The King’s Secret Daughter, Anna is married three times to all very different men. She is also in relationships with two others which contrast greatly towards her marital partners.

The first, Colonel John Seymour, is an officer in the British Army. Not much is offered on him for a back story other than he’s never been married. (John’s backstory contains his move from England to South Carolina where...

Within The King’s Secret Daughter,  we explore the possibility of George III’s illegitimate daughter, but what about other daughters of history? In this segment, I will discuss ten daughters of royalty who, like Anna, rebelled against society.

Sex Through The Centuries.

Sex.

Teens giggle while children look around in confusion as adults blush. How did such a natural act become so taboo? As a child, everything I learned about sex was from the school bus, my friends, or experimentation. My family never spoke of it. This proves true for many people, but why have we become so conservative towards the act of reproduction?

To investigate this, we must go back to the beginning. Starting with the earliest humans, sex was purely animalistic. Our instincts simply kic...
