Huma Anwar is a Pakistani translator and editor recognized for her distinguished Urdu translations of world literature. Her work has introduced Urdu readers to celebrated international authors including Orhan Pamuk, Elif Shafak, Yann Martel, and Antonio Torres. She has also served as editor for several acclaimed books on history, politics, fiction, and non-fiction.

Known for her linguistic grace and cultural sensitivity, Huma’s translations preserve the literary tone and spirit of the original texts. She is the recipient of the UBL Literary Excellence Award (2015) for her Urdu translation of My Name is Red and the Pakistan Academy of Letters Award (2018) for The Forty Rules of Love
