“Words, I think, are such unpredictable creatures.
No gun, no sword, no army or king will ever be more powerful than a sentence. Swords may cut and kill, but words will stab and stay, burying themselves in our bones to become corpses we carry into the future, all the time digging and failing to rip their skeletons from our flesh.”

“I spent my life folded between the pages of books.
In the absence of human relationships I formed bonds with paper characters. I lived love and loss through stories threaded in history; I experienced adolescence by association. My world is one interwoven web of words, stringing limb to limb, bone to sinew, thoughts and images all together. I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction.”

“People like to say love is unconditional, but it's not, and even if it was unconditional, it's still never free. There's always an expectation attached. They always want something in return. Like they want you to be happy or whatever and that makes you automatically responsible for their happiness because they won't be happy unless you are ... I just don't want that responsibility.”

So I just finished the book today...and I really did like it I just still don't know what I think. There were a lot of big issues in the book and it got overwhelming at points. But I think it is worth the read. The story itself is just too good to pass up.

So, when you can get around to it, you may really like the book I'm reading right now. It's called Shadows (The Rephaim #1) by Paula Weston. She's an Australian author, so you can't help but picture all of the characters with an Aussie accent :). I have been having a hard time tearing myself away from this one.

Okay cool! Thanks:)
