Archaeologists find the source of Stonehenge Sarsen Stones but what was the structure built for

Another piece of the puzzle falls into place.

Stonehenge

The huge slabs of stone that make up the most iconic structures at Stonehenge came from about 25km away, according to chemical analysis. Since the 1500s, most Stonehenge scholars have assumed the 6- to 7-meter tall, 20-metric-ton sarsen stones came from nearby Marlborough Downs, and a recent study by the University of Brighton archaeologist David Nash and his colleagues has now confirmed that.

But the real question still remains … what was this gia...

Phil Philips Story And His Decision To Become A Best Selling Author

After sixteen years working for a large advertising company all the staff were told by the end of the year that they would be let go. So many mixed emotions ran through my head at the time. Do I leave now. Do I try and find a job in the same industry, or venture out and do something completely different. Knowing I would receive a considerable payout when made redundant after serving so many years, I decided to not stress myself and wait it out.

That’s when I started reading Matthew Reilly’s – Se...

Why do all the Moai on Easter Island Face Inland and not the South Pacific Ocean?

Naturally, we wondered why all the Moai on Easter Island face inland instead of the ocean. The story told; the society who built the Moai believed that they were the only people in the whole world. Any invaders or bad people that would be coming would have to come from within the island – not by sea! So the Moai face inwards to protect the community.

There are 887 known Moai Monolithic Statues on the island.

Located in the South Pacific more than 2,000 miles off the Chilean coast, is Easter...

The United States secretly decided that the value of these former Nazis’ forbidden knowledge outweighed their crimes, and the government formed a covert organization called Operation Paperclip to allow them to work witho...

Staying Strong and Creative while my Wife is Fighting Breast Cancer

Cancer … the word you never want to hear

September 23, 2018, I found a lump growing on my wife’s right breast that had suddenly appeared. Marie did the right thing and immediately had an ultrasound which followed a mammogram. These turn of events led us both to a breast surgeon at St George Private Hospital. Marie and I both surmised before going in, that she might need to do some radiotherapy and we prepared ourselves for that outcome.

Then the bombshell was dropped. It was like getting sla...
