The blog conundrum
Hello there everyone,
On my website blog (www.mdkambic.com), I recently wrote:
I wanted to let everyone know that I find blogging generally un-useful to my creative goals (writing, illustrating, movie making, songwriting). Unless there’s some compelling reason to report what I’m up to, I will be appearing here only randomly.
The act of creating is open to all of us, and I find in my current station in life receiving the time to do so is precious. I think if my work is at all of interest you’d much rather read the novel or see the movie or listen to the song than find out what kind of soup I like.
I'm always happy to dialog with readers or other interested parties. Feel free to e-mail me and we can get started. That said, I will be blogging less often in order to be creating more often.
Here's to the blank canvas, newly-started document, and waiting guitar!
Cheers,
Matt

Chasing the Dream...
Everest Rising, thanks to Amy Rogers of ScienceThillers Media, is published. The great dream of writing and releasing a book to the wider world complete.
But actually, after a brief pause to celebrate with a cold creme soda, I am plunging into the world of promoting, marketing, and trying to get the book in front of reader's eyes.
It's a challenge that will require its own form of fortitude. I am game, having been a creative professional all my life. Writing copy, composing advertising, developing a strategic and tactical methodology, finding some dollars to spend; it's all to be done and– separately– enjoyed in its own way.
No telling where it will go but I look forward to giving it my best.
Cheers from NZ,
Matt (less)

Everest Rising release
Greetings,
Today's the day: Everest Rising joins the 'world's library'.
I want to thank everyone who signed up for the Goodreads Giveaway, and also those who have signed on to follow my evolving exploits as an author.
Writing is a lot of things: a passion, fun, wild, a learning space, a place to reveal, conceal, appeal and wield.
I'll continue: there's a lot more to do with these 26 letters we have to work with.
Cheers and blessings,
Matt

Hullo world...
My first Goodreads post. Here we go.
Like a lot of first-time authors, I'm just beginning the interesting journey that takes place AFTER the book is written.
It's cool to see the publication (Everest Rising) appear: then you realize there are about 800 million other books on the same site. And of course many more in the wide world.
However, and most importantly, I've entered the arena. Some of you out there will hopefully enjoy the story I've presented. And that's all I really can ask for– the opportunity.
It's great to be here.
Cheers from New Zealand via Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
Matt

Writer & Artist...
Hullo everyone,
I'll be stopping in here to add bloggish thoughts and Kambo-esque ramblings from time to time. As they say, life is about expression, not making an impression. Or something like that.
