thoughts

My thoughts on this strange half world we seem to be living in. Like many thousands I am missing my family that live in England and France. How long before I see them again. Time is slipping by and it seems no nearer. My heart aches. Do the politicians and rule makers care? It seems not unless you have some clout in some way. ie a sportsman or actor, there are others. But if you are ordinary like me you don't stand a chance. So all I can do is write about my frustrations and hope one day I will still be around to see family again and talk books and writing again.

Great TRIP

I have just had the best time in Roma and surrounds. I took Alone and The Amazing Adventures of Bub and Tub volume 1 with me and they were so well received it was wonderful.
So are the people they were interested, kind and made me feel like a queen! The hotel owners were great too. So I got to meet lots of lovely people and look forward to some feedback soon as many books were purchased.
Oh yes and morning tea everywhere, cake, biscuits , yummy food. Thanks everyone!

Strange

Strange how things occur. Was talking to someone yesterday about the new lockdown due to the virus. This person said that it was fine by her she had no problem being alone. she had plenty to do so lockdown was fine. I agreed with her to a point. I don't have a problem being on my own but she still has a partner. not always there but a partner nonetheless. I told her I am like Rachel in my latest book. It's very different when your partner has passed away. There is this void, this empty space, no-one to ask their option, share a bottle of wine, tell your troubles too.Give you a hug if you need one. It is completely different from just being on your own because the other person is busy, away, in hospital even, to never being there again. Rachel is struggling to run a cattle stud, so many jobs need two people or even more when sorting cattle out. Pick up Alone and see what she has to cope with. I'm told you won't want to put it down.

Tomorrow

Hi Tomorrow I am having a small book talk/launch in my local town of Boonah at 2pm. Hopefully it will be a fun afternoon though we have to adhere to Covid Restrictions. They sell yummy food and drink too so that will add to the enjoyment.
On another note I am busy writing my 7TH adult fiction which is called lost and hopefully it will be as popular as my others.
Alone hasn't been out only a week but already I have had good feedback and hope for some written reviews soon. as an author it seems to me to be the hardest thing of all to get someone to write a review. It isn't just me others say the same. Never mind so long as people enjoy what I write that is the important thing as far as I am concerned.

Exciting

Hello All
Yesterday it was the authors symposium in Brisbane and did we all have a ball! Lots of wonderful presentations and lots and lots of amazing books. My personal presentation went well and I signed many books too and met very interesting people along the way.
Do have a look at my new book Alone as the the name suggests its about a woman coping alone on a cattle property and with all that entails. Her estranged son turns up and wants his share; he is threatening and abusive. What will he do to get his own way and can the police protect Rachel from a bikie gang??

I.A.A.S

I am really looking forward to the upend coming Independent Australian Authors Symposium on November 14th. It will showcase Queensland Authors some for the first time they have been published. There will be others there too to do with the writing industry. Speakers, prizes, goody bags, food fun and laughter. What more could anyone want??
The release of my book Alone will be there too and I am very excited about this book set in the remoteness of the outback. Rachel is coping on her own since her husband passed away. Then the threats from her estranged son start. Why does he want the farm that he's never shown any interest in?. Who is the dead stranger found in the creek? Is there a connection? How can she protect herself and those she has come to love?
Who can she trust? All these questions and more abound in the book.
Buy a copy and find the answers, better still come to the symposium and have a fun day out. It is on-line too so no excuse to miss it.

Alone

I am really looking forward to my next book Alone coming out later this year. So far I think it's the best I have written though just having[finally ]read some great reviews for in particular POSSESSION.; i am not so sure. Here is a sneak peek of whats in the story.
Rachel is alone in the vastness of the Australian outback her husband having died. Her son whom she hasn't seen for years turns up and threatens her. He wants his share of the cattle stud that Rachel and her husband developed. The threats and volience escalate, the local policeman befriends Rachel but seems helpless to really stick up for her. Will it end in tragedy ?Can Rachel get her life back on track and be happy? What does the artist want? Is he who he says he is? Why is there a body in the creek?
Please pick up a copy later this year.

A Sad Year

2019 Wasn't the best year for me personally and I kept thinking 2020 has to be better. How wrong can you be!
My husband of forty odd years passed away and then this virus!! Life is strange right now and is getting stranger by the day.
So everyone read, reading is pure escapism and we all need much of that right now.

Wiht everything that has happened lately I haven't been writing anything only thank you letters and filling in forms so this is a start on my journey back. Also I was hacked just before my husband died so that was an added nightmare and it's still not resolved .
