She discovered those amazing things called novels her junior year in high school and became immediately hooked after her first great read. She said, "Late bloomer book nerd. I know." Looking back, she said she "was a self-declared dork who studied way too much when she discovered she was missing out on endless incredible worlds of fiction."

The way authors strung together words and created amazing characters and stories fascinated her, but it wasn't until after graduating from college with a degree that didn't suit her and working in jobs that she knew weren't using her gifts that she realized she wasn't on the best path for her. The one that made her feel most alive. In her late 20s, she realized her true self was meant to create, but it wasn't until a few years later that she felt a deep call to write.

More years past, working, a young child to raise and is still raising, finding the time to write was more than difficult. Many story ideas came to her over the years, but nothing became of them. But a few years ago, the idea for Oswald Spoon and the Trouble With Invisibility came to her and characters popped into her head like manna from heaven. Things started to fall into place for her to write, and she knew this story was "the one" - the first novel she was meant to write - which she also wrote for her son.

She believes everyone was made with a special purpose - something he or she is 'genius' at. As a comedian, artist, writer, musician, mathematician, chef, scientist, leader, inventor, administrator, and so many more. She says, "Though it may take time to identify your gifts and talents, and sometimes you discover them by process of elimination, once you know, follow your dreams."

She's already taken notes for a sequel and has several other story ideas to keep her busy writing for awhile. She hopes you love Oswald and all his friends as much as she does.

She lives with her teenage son and recently widowed mother in Florida, is a follower of Jesus, loves a great read, her rescue pets, and coffee and chocolate. ...more
